I've discovered issues related to motion-activated cams not working but about 50% of the time, long delays in notifications (over 5 min), a long monitoring alarm response/contact time (3 min), and cannot seem to get the help from this company in learning how to make setting adjustments such as stopping email notifications. Vector has scheduled two service appointments with me and has missed both of them. I've requested a user manual for their panel and system. There doesn't appear to be any. The installer "training" was nearly pointless. His advice was to go into the web app and "play with it." The salesman Daniel Foster sold me the system. He claims in texts that he is "anytime" even on Saturdays (8 am-8 pm) to come over himself to show me how to make changes to the system. The first time I tried to take him up on the "offer" he responded "I might be out of town." To top it all off, when I tested the system and inquired about the long response time (3 min), the Vector rep agreed "That is a long time." I didn't answer when Vector called due to the alarm event so I asked the rep if the police were called. The rep said "Yes, but they won't be coming out because you don't have alarm registered." Well, I do have an alarm permit. Vector just failed to ask me about the alarm number. I'm very dissatisfied. The system is nearly useless. By the way, competitor has come out and verified to me the fact that the competitor company has had a lot of service issues with the particular model of panel that Vector installed at my home. The problem is, Vector is very bad at providing service at all. They have wasted SO MUCH of my time thus far.
Desired outcome: I want Vector to either come out to install 24-7 recording cams and communicate how I can submit my alarm # so cops can be directed to my home by the call center. Or, Vector should pick up their equipment and cancel the contract.
