Westgate Resorts - Unprofessional service and roach infested rooms
On Friday November 3rd around 5:45 my girlfriend arrived at Westgate to check in for us because I was getting there a little after her. We were there for a concert and decided to make a weekend out of it. She eventually got checked in and proceeded to the room. She went up to the room to place her purse and some other things then went back down stairs to get the luggage. After coming up to the 6th floor to bring the luggage, the keys no longer worked. So she went back down stairs to put the luggage back in the car, flagged a gentleman down in a cart and caught a ride up front. She gets another set and goes back to 1400 building (1458c) to try the keys to no avail. Now she goes BACK up from in her car to get more keys. They didn’t work either. This time they said we were in 1458 (5th floor) even tho our key envelope said 1458c. She went back four times before I got there around 7pm. I was livid bc the concert started at 8 and we weren’t even in the room. I called the hospitality desk and they said they sent a security guard to bring keys and open the door. After waiting another 30 minutes, I took the elevator down stairs, drive up front, got another set of keys (5th trip) and beat the security guy there to open the door! Let’s just say we missed our concert! We figured we’d relax at this renowned resort. Well while chilling that night we found small roach in the bathroom. The next day we went to get wings from the sports bar Draft at exactly 12pm (lunch) and they were out of wings and lunch was just starting. Then that night Saturday night we woke up to an even bigger roach. Let’s just say me and my girlfriend were upset was highly disappointed. I complained and was offered free entry to the kids water park. Mind you we have no kids. What an insult.
Claimed loss: Money for concertUncomfortable InconvenienceMoney for rooms
Desired outcome: Compensated for my stay monitarily or compensate me with a stay in a cleaner room and better service
Westgate Resorts - Scammers
We are very new here in USA, so didn’t expect this to happen. We booked a 3days/2nights stay at westgate lakes, didn’t realise that we need to attend the presentation on the day of my daughter’s birthday until we paid for it.
During the presentation they said we are not qualified for this as we are very new here, in which it didn’t say in the terms and conditions. They only said attend the presentation that’s it. So we ended up paying an extra $300 for the stay. It’s very annoying and disappointing because they won’t tell you everything. It’s a big scam!
And the accomodation itself is not even nice, my daughter ended up having bed bug bites all over her legs due to very unhygienic room.
Desired outcome: I want a refund on our full stay including the $300 that we paid. It’s really unfair for us specially we are very new here in this country!
Westgate Resorts - Sales staff
I sent a referral and another couple to tour Westgate. Elizabeth was the sales rep. Very rude and condescending. She even asked if they weren’t going to buy then what did they come for? She was beyond unprofessional and seemed even more irritated when no one bought anything. It was her ATTITUDE! Also they did not get the items that they were supposed to receive for the tour.
Even after we complained no one did anything to fix the situation. Eric tried to talk to the couples but It was more like shuffling them around. I find it hard to believe Westgate would not address the unprofessional behavior or try to keep a customer from leaving with a bad taste in their mouth.
Desired outcome: Something worthwhile to show their sincere apologies. No one should be talked down to at a sales presentation
Westgate Resorts - Rip Off Company - Misrepresentation
After shortly joining and trying to cancel, they lied to us about having 10 days to cancel the contract, its not ten (working days) its 10 Calender days, then we could not use the amenities for 6 months.
we are still trying to cancel the contract. without any luck.
they lie from the beginning to the end.

Westgate Resorts - Rental Villa
Secured a reservation for the evening of 10/14/22 arriving late and being patient through the lengthy check-in. Fast forward to this morning and there is not hot water. The front desk says they’re too busy to move & when I called corporate I was transferred back to the desk who apologized & again said they weren’t able to move me and advised waiting for an update from maintenance. No one pays nearly $200 nightly to not even have the basic necessities like hot running water. At this point my only option is to leave early for a partial refund which isn’t fair either.
Desired outcome: Room change or 100% refund to depart.
Westgate Resorts - No mercy during Hurricane Ian
My reservation at the Orlando Florida location was September 26-September 29. Four adults and a 13 month old baby. We stayed there during Hurricane Ian. There were strong wings, lots of rain, and flash flood warnings. Wednesday night there was lots of rain and in the master bedroom there was bad insulation in the windows which then led our room to flood. They were not able to fix it after four hours of us calling them so they told us to move rooms were the glass door from the master bedroom to the balcony’s lock was broken. This move was done around 12 AM with my 13 month old crying the whole time. On Thursday morning we were supposed to check out but there was a flash flood warning until 11:30 AM. We spoke to the front desk and they said that that we still have to check out at 10 which then he said we can check out at 11. After my husband spoke to them and explained to them everything that happened in not the nicest way, they finally said we can check out at 12 PM. The news is explicitly warning people in Orlando not to leave. They are also expecting us to pay the full price for an extra night IF there is availability.
Horrible experience. Never coming here again. Customer service and front desk were useless. No mercy was shown at all.
Desired outcome: A refund for a night or a late check out at least.
Westgate Resorts - Condition of suites
We had a room 732 . We got to room with temp 84 degrees . Air-conditioning not working . Dishwasher full of blackish gray water murky with foul odor ..

Westgate Resorts - Spa stay
Dear Sir or Madame,
We recently spent our Anniversary at The Watergate Resort and Spa on Turkey Lake Road in Orlando from Sept 18 - 19.
I have to say we were disappointed. When I booked the room the reservation clerk said we could get a later check out because we wanted to use the facilities on Sunday, she said a small fee may apply depending on check out. When I checked in on Saturday I asked for the late check out and the manager told us no so already we were disappointed from the start. However; I booked a 80 minute couples couples massage at Serenity spa at 5pm and we were determined to enjoy our vacation. We got there at 10 til 5pm. Filled out the paper work then were brought back around 6pm. I went to the ladies side and took time putting on my robe. We entered the couples room about 10 minutes later. Then got started about 5 minutes later. We felt very rushed. The massage started at 5:20 and they rushed out of the room at 6:25. This is not an 80 minute massage upon which I paid for. They did give us a bath bomb with a congratulations which we were grateful. We left for dinner
We went back to the room where we found our neighbors had a few screaming kids. Then we decided to take a bath but the bath had a dirt ring around the tub and there were pubic hairs sticking out of the filter and pink mold under the filter in the tub. I scrubbed the tub, we didn't want to wait for someone at 10pm at night.
The next morning, despite the Do Not Disturb sign someone knocked on our door at 8am in morning. We went into the lobby at 10 am to check out to find spots of blood on the floor and no one really took any measures to clean it up right away. I watched people step in it and track it all over.
I would say that our stay at your resort and services at your spa were disgusting and undesirable. We will NEVER stay there again. We will happily go back to the Wyndham.
I plan to contact as many as possible to tell them how your hotel and spa takes advantage of their customers and how they steal from their experience. No one tried to make anything right for us.
Sincerely
Bianca Alaimo
Room 738B Sept 18-19
Desired outcome: Some kind of refund
Westgate Resorts - People
Very bad I stayed here for 1 week the next thing I know that it's 10:00 and there are these kids outside playing with a football and hitting the window screaming and I am trying to go to sleep to wake up at 5 tomorrow and I like the resort but the kids need to stay in the room before 10 because we work all day and screw it if the service people ain't helping then screw it
Westgate Resorts - We are being kicked every time we try to book.
We are having trouble with our timeshare in fl called west gate we have been owners for years and every time we want to book they tell us everything is book. Not true my brother book a place with them on Tuesday and we called wed the 26 of may the day after my brother. And after putting on hold for 2 hours they tell my wife there noting available that's wrong owners should come first before renters I sick of the run around if they can't do anything I want our money back can you help.
Westgate Resorts - unauthorized debit payments
We paid for a promotional stay for 66.00 for the entire weekend from the 17th of January until the 19th. Before I arrived I paid the 66.00 then we arrived I paid the 50.00 deposit. When I got to the Timeshare desk, they wanted me to pay 50.00 again because the front desk took my payment. When I refused to pay 50.00 again, they canceled the tour and are now trying to take 300.00 from my account. Never mind the fact we had to leave a day early and they kept the $66.00.. Complete fraud and ripoff
Westgate Resorts - resort stay and customer service
We vacationed at Westgate Lake Resort and Spa December 28th-31st, 2019. We were assigned to Building 1600 room 1643B. Valet and Front desk staff were nice and helpful. Resort is beautiful. Every day during our stay our key did not work, and we had to have our keys rekeyed. Elevator in our building did not work for two days of our stay. We were on the fourth floor. Morning of check-out Elevator did not work. We had to carry luggage from the 4th floor. My issue with Westgate is their timeshare presenter's. We had the liberty of having Julia Kalaf PA.in the beginning she seemed to be okay then she became rude, she had the nerve to get rude with my husband because he wasn't paying her any attention my husband is 37 not 7 we were not in a classroom, nor was she his teacher. We are business owner's my husband conducts the physical duties and I do all administrative duties. I'm use to reading contracts and asking a lot of questions before signing and submitting documents. Long story short Westgate should be ashamed of themselves hiring people that have NO! people or customer service skills to sell timeshare properties. I don't see the problem with telling someone to give you a chance to review things and look over documents. When buying a home or automobile you are given time to review and discuss your purchase before finalizing the deal. This doesn't mean you can't afford what you are trying to buy. A sensible person would make sure a purchase that ties you in for 3 years or more makes sense today, tomorrow, and here after. Under no circumstance should you be told you have to spend $30, 000 or more right now. That BS! And shame on them for the BS. I left there mad as hell. No one disrespects my husband or tries to belittle me because I did not purchase something at the drop of their hat. She sat there with her face tuned and rolling her eyes (unprofessional) because she did not like the fact me and my husband wanted to discuss things with our team before making a purchase. I'm not sure if these people are trained to be ignoring, disrespectful or aggressive. They should be advised to be mindful of the person sitting in front of them, sometimes you have no clue who (Business owner's etc) you are dealing with. I feel this resort care less about how things are pitched to their guest if so they would follow up immediately with questions upon the ending of a timeshare presentation. I'm going to speak with the Florida Attorney General Office and a few other entities to see if this behavior towards guest is permitted at their resorts. Julia really disrespected the wrong people we really wanted to buy with our experience we will not be returning to Westgate and we will not refer anyone. I'm highly disappointed with Westgate Lake Resort & Spa.
