I was given a blank receipt for my $83 purchase. When I asked the cashier for a new receipt she told me her receipt printer was not working and I would have to see customer service. Customer service rep told me she did not know how to re-print receipts. She called the manager and he said he could get me a receipt. He went into a back room and did not come out for 15 minutes. Another manager came out and told me they were having a problem figuring out a way to re-print a receipt. While I was waiting next to customer service counter, two other customers called to let the store know they had been given blank receipts. My original check out time was 5:00pm sharp and I didn't leave the store with a new receipt until 5:46pm. The manager knew I had waited all that time and that I had become upset, but he did not offer me anything. What makes this situation worse, is that the store and cashier knew her printer was not functioning properly, and yet they did not close her lane, change or fix her printer, or move her to one of the other 5 open lanes. I have been a loyal customer for the seven years I have lived in Florida. After this experience I don't think I will return to Winn-Dixie.
