I purchased a used vehicle. Had it transported a (Chevy, Malibu) from Houston Car Max to Tallahassee Car max.
Refuse to Clean or Sanitize the vehicle. They informed me after they have received the vehicle and supposedly checked it out Feb 08 2021. Told me that the vehicle was ready to be picked up. I am overseas so my Power of attorney holder was picking up the vehicle. I told them that she would be there Feb 13 2021 to pick up the vehicle. They had the vehicle in there possession for 5 days. This is during the Covid 19 Pandemic. The vehicle had obvious dirt, mud and trash inside the vehicle. I took pictures and sent it to them through same text that we was communicating for past 2 weeks. No response
The incompetence came from a series of communication that I had all on text of them trying to disclaim me purchasing this vehicle after I have given them all of my paperwork prior to vehicle being picked up. The vehicle was not ready and they conducted no checks on the paperwork I provided to them and constantly asking is there anything else you need. I did my best for this to be a smooth transaction but due to there incompetence of not knowing or checking I had to do on my own. My USAA rep had to let them know that my POA rep could get the registration in her name. They told her that we had until close of business. They was prepared to keep the vehicle. Constantly saying they could not keep the vehicle after only having it 5 days. I had 2k down payment, Check from USAA, and POA. They previously had copy of DL front/back, selfie pic and proof of insurance. Manager was as no help and as incompetent as the rep. I got my own financing, coordinated with USAA and got the answers that they did not know. They was prepare to keep the vehicle only stating the shipping fee will not be refunded. Supposedly a maintenance inspection was conducted but if it wasn't clean I'm sure it was not sanitize due to covid 19. Is this Carmax Customer Service after I bought a vehicle from them and purchased with there 5 year warranty.
Desired outcome: A verbal apology and my car sanitized and cleansed.
