A Ga Farm Bureau insured policy holder backed his truck into my mother's van in May of 2023. The vehicle was driven to her house and then taken to the collision center for evaluation and the claims adjuster to look at. They called and said the damage exceeded their coverage limit of $25k. I picked up the van and drove it to a different collision center where they wrote an estimate of $11,170 to repair the 2017 Honda Odyssey with 71k miles that has a NADA value of $20,500. I have called the claims adjuster Karen Hogue seven times, called and emailed the senior auto field representative C.B. Palmer with the repair estimate asking for documentation to support their statement "the cost exceeds the coverage limits. You will need to contact your insurance carrier".
The only reply I get is "the cost exceeds the coverage limits. You will need to contact your insurance carrier".
My complaint is that the agents responsible for resolving the claim are indifferent, lack transparency, parrot unhelpful answers, and are shirking the responsibility to participate in an equitable and timely resolution to our legitimate claim.
Desired outcome: Write a check for the amount of the estimated cost to repair and supply a rental while the vehicle is being repaired.Apology from GA Farmers Bureau and the agents for the delay.
