We walked in at 4:00 on Friday, November 1st and there were 5 other couples sitting in the waiting area. We were told that there would be a 10 minute wait because it was shift change. During this time we watched 5 employees come in late to work. The restaurant was empty except for 5 tables. There was NO urgency to seat customers by the hostesses. They chatted with the late employees and each other then continued stacking menus without concern for seating customers or the nasty waiting area floor. At 4:10 only 1 of the 6 couples had been seated so we left to go to Logan's across the street. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and sat within 1 minute of walking in the door. The hostess sat us and said it was a shift change, but she would get us drinks. Within 2 minutes our waitress brought us our drinks. We have always loved Longhorns and have recommended our McDonough location, but we were let down today. Very disappointed that there was NO manager there overseeing the shift change and making it an easy transition. The employees themselves obviously could not handle this transition which shows a lack of training.
