Longhorns is my number one steakhouse and has been for years! For my 65th birthday this weekend we made plans for dinner and a movie. My friends wanted to go to Olive Garden but since it was my birthday I won and I choice your restaurant.
I ordered the same thing I always do a ribeye cook with fire. To my surprise my husband and friend received their Ribeye cooked correctly but mine was on the grill with butter. I immediately said this is not correct I want my over fire like both of theirs don't you remember me asking that which she replied yes, I do. Waitress was sweet took it back 15 minutes later came back looked like the same steak with darker grill marks. So, I decided to try it instead of sending back again and watching my friends eat. But when I have a steak, I only like it cooked with fire I just don't care for the flavor of this steak I tried I just don't like it. So needless to say, I told the waitress I like my steak cooked I want it cooked over fire like the over two on the table. I said see how different they look than this one, and this is my birthday dinner I really want a steak cooked like that.
She was sweet took it back someone came again so I was really hopeful until the steak arrived and was cooked the exact same way on the grill with butter.
Buy this time I'm starving because I'm on the Carnavore diet that was the only thing I was eating. So, I decided to try to eat it but by the third bite I just couldn't eat it. I told the waitress I really wanted a steak cooked like the other two on the table and three times it came on the grill. Just take it back. I have never had to send a steak back much less three times. She asked if I would like something else but by now the other three people were done and our movie started in 30 minutes, so I had to leave only drinking water, very hungry and very disappointed needless to say that was not a great birthday experience I was expecting.
I was also surprised a manager never came to our table to talk to me to see what the problem was. All we received was me not being charged for the steaks I sent back.
This has upset me all day knowing a company I trusted to eat at for my birthday was such a horrible experience. So, I decided to email you and let you know what happened and see if you feel there is something you could do to make this right renewing my faith in Longhorn Steakhouse.
I just felt you should know what happened. This was Friday night 8/2 the location Jacksonville, FL 9276 Arlington Expressway.

Claimed loss: No cost as I wasn't charge since I couldn't eat the steak. But left hungry and disappointed
Desired outcome: Maybe a gift card to renew my faith that you care about your faithful clients

So, I guess all I get is a sweet comment back but no gift card to make up for the wrong they did.
Thats really disappointing. I really thought Longhorn cared more about their customers than that.
Longhorns may not be my go to place anymore.

What a disappointment for your birthday dinner! A steak that isn't cooked the way you love on your special day is enough to make anyone lose their appetite. It seems like they missed the mark this time, and not getting it right after three tries is frustrating, to say the least.
Not having a manager swing by to chat about it is just the icing on the cake — or, in this case, the butter on the grill. Let's hope they step up and do something to restore your faith in LongHorn, especially since it's your go-to place.
Here’s hoping your next meal is cooked to perfection and comes with some birthday luck to make up for this one!
