Americas Best Value Inn

Sirs, my name is Barbara Chase and my husband and I have stayed at America's best Value Inn in Beardstown Illinois many times over the years and had found it adequate to our needs . But it has been a couple of years since the last time. We checked in on November 19th 2019 at about 1:30pm and checked out at approximately 8:15pm the same day after having a spider fall from the ceiling on to me and my husband finding cockroaches in the bathroom. The room was filthy and there were cigarette Burns and a smoke smell in the room even though I had requested a non smoking room. The managers tried to make excuses for the bugs saying we were on the ground floor it was to be expected. I DON'T THINK SO. That hotel is the nastiest place I have ever tried to stay and we will never stay there again! They even had the nerve to charge us for the night even though we didn't stay. I was tired so i stopped at Beardstown Il. 62618 I got a NO SMOKING room and was completely disgusted it reeked of smoke, bugs everey where dead and alive, i was almost asleep then a bug jumped on me, I got up looked all around it was late by the time I saw the bugs I went out to the service desk twice NO ONE around so i took pics I sat in the chair til morning again went to the front desk, again no one.I was so upset but had to be back at the hospital so I left a long letter to the manager with my phone number and said i wanted my money back...I never got any sleep... it was room 115 monday night sept 30 I got there around 11:00pm...Christine Herndon, please help that was horrible.
