I purchased a brand new gas lawn mower and it does not work. It will not start. I returned it back to the store where I was advised to contact a service center even though it was within the 30 store return policy. I left the store unsatisfied and with a piece of paper that contained a list of repair shops. I called the suggested repair shop the only one that located in Chicago, IL and I was told by them that they do not honor the warranty that I purchased at the store.
I should not be looking for a repair location to take a "brand new lawn mower"
The store manager was not willing to assist me, instead he continued to repeat to me that I need to take the brand new lawn mower to a repair shop. The store policy needs to be looked at and revised. How does Menards expect a customer to purchase a gas lawn mower without putting gas in it to determine if it's working properly or not?
No one expects to purchase a brand new lawn mower and not have it to work at all.
When customer purchase items they expect for them to operate properly and if they do not, customer expect for the item to be replace, refunded, ore repaired. Not to have the store manager tell them "maybe the gas was bad" it's a brand new lawn mower.
Please take this complaint seriously, I am very dissatisfied with my purchas and the level of customer service I received.

Desired outcome: My desired outcome, replace my brand new lawn mower with one that actually works.Find a repair shop that does not require me to purchase there warranty.Refund my money.
