Qwic electric
I have been shopping at the west Duluth Menards for many years. The employee Crystal in the electrical Department has always been very helpful and knowledgeable. She doesn't just point you to an isle and send you to find products on your own but brings you right to them. She is always friendly and welcoming. I have been meaning to write a good review for her for a while. The customer service in the electrical Department is one of the big reasons I keep coming back to Menards. I do a lot of shopping in many stores for my electrical and rental business and that type of commitment to costumers is rare. Good Job Crystal
customer service nonexistant
When they have the cart boys running the registers and they will not remove their sunglasses indoors while dealing with customers, this is rude. When you have to leave the checkout line, return to the display, and retrieve the sale tag because the customer service rep won't, this is not customer service. When 10 people are backed up at the one open register, this is not customer service. When you point this out to the customer service rep, and are told that you are rude, this is not acceptable. When this same customer service rep complains to her co-workers, (loud enough for you to hear), that one more customer like you and she will quit. she SHOULD quit.
I never raised my voice, used foul language, or showed any disrespect, yet I was RUDE? Impatient maybe but not rude.
When all this happens in one trip to your store, something needs to be done.
No problem, Lowe's is only 5 minutes further up the road, and I have always been treated courteously there.

Menards appliance brand sucks!!!
I spent over 2000.00 on a new 3-door frig and the second one of two (the first one leaked water after 6 months) has quit cooling in the frig portion after one year of use! Called customer service and received a "oh well the warranty is up" answer. I am a big Menards fan and shopper, even though a Lowes is less than a half mile away! Im retired and worked for over 20 years in the retail management field and never ever gave a customer this type of answer! never forget that a happy or mad customer will tell their experience on average to at least 17 others... This can be very harmful to sales when competition is near by. Never forget the customer is usually always right!
Recommendation: Do not buy top dollar items at menards! Their customer service so far stinks!

Incompetence & Disappointment - what happened to "dedicated to service & quality?"
*Original order date: 5.30.23 - UltraDeck, railing system, etc.
Cottage Grove Store - Delivery Agreement [protected] - Est Delivery 6.22.23
*6.22.23 - rec'd email from Menards that the order was ready to be picked up, but it was supposed to be delivered. When we called the store, we were assured that everything was fine and it was going to be delivered on 6.29.23.
*6.28.29 - rec'd call from Menards - they sold our materials to someone else. Offered a refund. What?! We had already built the framing and were ready to install the decking/railings.
*7.6.23 - went back to the store to order all materials again.
*7.20.23 - Notified we'd have delivery on 7.28.23.
*7.28.23 - delivery to home had incorrect items. We were told that WE HAD TO UNLOAD the multiple pallets of materials leaving only what was to be picked up/exchanged.
*7.31.23 - Menards picked up incorrect items and replaced with correct items. By now this is over a 30 day delay on the construction process.
We were told this was a "special order", so that would leave one to believe that the product was manufactured at the same time and have the same color/dye lot - BUT NOT THE CASE! See photos.
*decking installed over the next 2-3 weeks shows the variation in colors - some are dark and some are light. (see photo)
*8.24.23 - due to the delays on the order/delivery/wrong products, we decided to save time and purchase stair stringers rather than build the steps from scratch.
8.26.23 - stringers attached to the structure, and find that they are not cut the same and are twisted and warped. As a result, had to purchase additional lumber and larger metal strapping to straighten everything out - still not perfect and we're hoping we can pass the permit inspection (SEE PHOTO)
*9.3.23 - we installed the UltraDeck stair posts and tried to figure out the rail system installation. The instructions provided with the products are a joke! Through trial and error/searching the internet, we finally got it figured out - no thanks to the seller or manufacturer - who happen to be the same - Menards.
*9.6.23 - we reached out to the store to express our complete disappointment in how the entire process was handled and including the sub-par products they sold to us, and were told to fill out an "installed product complaint form" and send it via snail mail to the corp. office in Eau Claire, WI.
*9.28.23 - received a response back from a manager at Menards which was basically "we're sorry, but we don't care, go away".
*10.6.23 - after several more attempts to contact Menards, we are being stonewalled and our 35 year relationship with Menards is OVER!
Recommendation: DON'T DO IT!
Horrible customer service and junk products
I bought a TroyBilt Weed whacker 16" TB 25CC TRIMMER 2671904, on [protected]. I took it home and put it together on [protected]. On [protected] I tried to use it. I had to pull the rope no less than 40 pulls to get it to start. I had the correct 40:1 fuel ratio non ethanol gas in the tank. It ran for around 5 minutes. It warmed up and quit running. I had a very difficult time restarting it, but it finally started. It ran for less than 3 minutes and quit again. That time it would not start. I tried to return it to the Menard's store in Dubuque, IA. on 9-1-2023. The customer service department told me I had to take it to a repair shop 9 miles from the Dubuque store to have it inspected. I took it to that shop and they told me all they had to do and it would be done on Tuesday, 9-5-2023. I picked the weed whacker up from the shop on 9-5-2023 and took it back to the store with a note from the repair shop stating it would cost more than 3/4 the price of the equipement and I should either get a refund or a different weed whacker. I opted for the refund. It was then that I was told, we have to give you a check that can only be used at Menard's for the refund price, which was $128.39 I paid with a VISA credit card that can be used anywhere and now I'm stuck with a check that is ONLY good at a Menard's store. I live 60 miles from the nearest Menards store and do not shop that often at Menard's due to the distance. Plus, I had to make 2 extra 132 mile round trips to get this Menard's ONLY check. I want my money to go back to my VISA card and not on a Menard's ONLY check.
Recommendation: Go to Walmart. They give actual refunds with your receipt, not just Menard's money
Price matching false or you can call it lie statement at Volo, IL store
If you are hearing that Menards will match the price it is a definitely FALSE statement, specifically at the paint department in Volo, IL location.
We called at the store department asking specifically about the 'Cabot' product that Ace hardware had the advertisement in the paper flyer and were told that Menards will match the price. While coming the store, we met the manager of the department and I believe his name was Mike, who confirmed that he will do it looking into the flyer. While sales person started to shake the gallons Mike called him over and in few mins the sales person came over explaining that they cannot do that. The manager did not even come to us to apologize or explain what was the reason he changed his mind..
So sad..

Menards: Poor Customer Service and F Rating with BBB
Menards is a store that has been around for a long time. They have a website, menards.com, where you can buy all kinds of things for your home. However, if you are thinking about shopping at Menards, you should know that they have an F rating with the Better Business Bureau. This means that they have a lot of complaints from customers.
I had a bad experience with Menards recently. I was charged $650 for something that was not my fault. I tried to talk to someone at the store, but they couldn't help me. I even tried to contact the corporate office, but they were no help either. They told me that the only way to file a complaint was through their website or by email.
I was frustrated because I had already done that and nothing had been done to fix the problem. The person I talked to at the corporate office told me that the CEO, John Menard Junior, was the one who set the rules and that the employees had to follow them. She said that even if I wrote a letter to him, there was no guarantee that anything would be done to fix my problem.
I was shocked when she told me that John Menard Junior was 82 years old and still came to work every day. She said that he read every letter that he received, but that he was old-fashioned and didn't use computers. I couldn't believe that someone who was worth $18.4 billion would still be working at that age.
The person I talked to at the corporate office seemed brainwashed. She said that she loved her job and the company she worked for, even though they had an F rating with the Better Business Bureau. I felt sorry for her because she didn't seem to realize that the company she worked for was not treating its customers well.
After my experience with Menards, I will never shop there again. I will also tell everyone I know about my experience and encourage them to shop elsewhere. Menards may have a lot of things for sale, but they don't seem to care about their customers. If you want good customer service, I would recommend shopping somewhere else.
Menards Sells Knock-Offs Advertised as Name Brands at Name Brand Prices - Unethical Business Practices!
I used to live near a Menards store and I gotta say, I was pretty happy with their Old Mill brand lined jeans. They kept me warm and cozy during the cold winter months. But now, I live far away from any store location and I wanted to get some more pairs. So, I went online and found the same manufacturer and style number product advertised on Menards website. I ordered 2 pairs of the same style number and size, but when I got them, I was pretty disappointed.
First of all, there was no manufacturer name or product tag anywhere on the jeans. And the signature "M" stitching on the back pockets was missing too. But that's not all. The jeans were not even made from the same materials and did not fit the same either. One pair was over 3" too big while the other pair was about 2" too big. I mean, what the heck?
So, I reached out to the customer service department to arrange a return and boy, was I met with some rude email responses. They told me that contrary to their posted returns policy, I would be charged return/restocking fees. I mean, come on. After going back and forth countless times with the customer service rep, I explained how the product received was not as advertised, not made by the same manufacturer, not made from the same materials, and not the same fit or quality as those previously purchased from their store, or as advertised on their website.
But guess what? They told me that I received what I ordered, that it was a difference in manufacturing, and was no fault of theirs and I could either return them for a partial refund, or keep them. Can you believe that? It's like being told that the Pair of Nike shoes I ordered and received without the Nike name or Branded "Swoosh" on the product anywhere was still a Nike product and was just a difference in manufacturing! Or like receiving a pair of Levis or Wrangler jeans without the Levis/Wrangler tag or signature pocket stitching on them anywhere was still the same product! That's just plain ridiculous.
Menards is selling cheap knock-offs advertised as name brand products at name brand prices! And when I asked to be passed up to a member of management, the CS rep's email tone changed and was then appeared as helpful. But it was all a lie. I was being misled until I shipped the return back and then was basically told "Too Bad"! I was charged over $24 to receive a falsely advertised product and to return it because I couldn't even wear them, and they were not what I had satisfactorily purchased previously!
Menards engages in unethical business practices and should be boycotted by all consumers so they receive their just deserves and go out of business!
Disappointing Experience with Menards and Truss Company: Poor Quality and Customer Service
I recently had an experience with Menards that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I had ordered bonus room rafters with a delivery date of June 3rd, 2022. However, on the morning of June 3rd, I received a call from the truss company stating that there was a "design issue". This was not what I was expecting, as I had rented a telehandler forklift to set the trusses that day. Needless to say, I was not happy about this turn of events. I had to redesign my building plan and reorder trusses, which set me back 27 days.
Finally, on June 30th, I received the new trusses and planned on seeing and bracing them the next day. Everything appeared to be fine while they were bundled together. However, the next day, when we set the trusses one at a time, I could tell that something wasn't quite right. I climbed up and began planing across the top chords with an 8' level. There was not a consistent spot anywhere. I then painted the bottom chords and found huge differences as well. Every surface needed repairs and modifications.
I immediately contacted my local Menards store and was told to take photos and email them in. However, I didn't receive any reply. With Monday being the 4th of July, I knew the soonest I would hear anything would be Tuesday the 5th. I was planning on working Saturday and getting started with roof sheeting, but at this point, I was once again put behind schedule by no fault of my own.
I finally went into the store on Wednesday the 6th and made the local store rep come out and see for himself what I was dealing with. After some discussion with the rep and the truss company, I was told they would cover any materials and I would be reimbursed for my time. Menards did cover the material cost, but the truss company would only cover $1000 of the labor cost of $2600. I told them it would cost them a lot more to remove the trusses, remake the trusses, and then pay for resetting the trusses, and they still wouldn't budge. I'm still fighting with them about this and feel they should pay the full amount that is owed. I know they will lose if I take them to court and also will have to reimburse me for my court/lawyer fees and my personal time.
The truss company has extremely poor customer relations. I've since moved 1800 miles away and will charge them double time if they choose to go to court over this matter. I would highly recommend not using Menards or their truss company as they don't back their products apparently. Oh, and they want to send the settlement in a credit, which is ridiculous since they don't even have stores where I now live. Use a building supply compensation for trusses and screw them.
Nightmare Experience with Menards: A Warning to All Potential Buyers
I gotta tell ya, I had a real doozy of an experience with Menards. I ordered a 16x24 garage kit from the NW Menards in Wichita, KS back in September. And let me tell you, it was a real nightmare from the get-go.
First off, when the delivery arrived, we noticed that some of the items we ordered weren't delivered, and some items that weren't on the order were delivered! Can you believe it? I mean, come on, Menards, get your act together!
So, I asked for someone to come out and take a look at the situation and bring the missing items and take back the extra stuff. But, of course, they couldn't do that. Typical.
Then, we discovered that we were short two rafters. When I called to ask about it, they told me it would take 4-6 weeks to get them ready! Are you kidding me? So, we ended up making our own. And when it was time to place them and deck the roof, we realized that they were made with the worst lumber they could find on location. I mean, they were so crooked, it was a real battle to get them lined up correctly.
And that's not even the half of it. I could go on and on about all the extra trips we had to make, the worthless apologies, and the attitude that they just don't freaking care!
In fact, I just returned over $1,300 dollars of unused material today. I mean, some of the items were like the gutters. I decided to go seamless. And I also returned the two walk-in doors I had ordered. I had been told by two other contractors that they have had nothing but trouble with doors from Menards.
And get this, when the assistant manager started going through all the junk, he realized the true extent of the screwups! The doors I just mentioned were supposed to be identical, but it turned out that one of them was a special order door. And there was a $70 difference between the two! At least the manager accepted the return on the special order one.
And then, they delivered 1x6 metal facia trim, but the kit called for 2x6. And there were supposed to be only 9 of them, but when they counted what I brought back there were 12! I mean, come on, Menards, get it together!
As I was waiting through the whole process, people were walking by and seeing all that was going on. And I kept telling people that they should never buy a building kit from Menards!
I mean, just take a look at the crooked studs they sent me. I admit I had a choice to return them, but this is just an example to prove they sent me some of the worst they could and that the rafters were indeed made badly.
Overall, I will never enter another Menards the rest of my life. And I suggest you don't either.
Menards' Inventory Inaccuracy and Poor Customer Service Experience
Went 2 Menards in Independence, Mo. this morning (05/02/2030) 2 buy 2 pieces of siding. Their website said they had 27 pieces in stock. Went 2 the desk and ordered the 2 pieces that I needed and then proceeded 2 the checkout line. Waited in line for a little bit and got my business done.
I went 2 my truck and drove into the lumber yard. Found where the siding is and find out there is none. I then had 2 find an employee 2 help me. Well, he tried but no luck after about 15 minutes.
So I had 2 drive back around 2 the front of the store go inside and get a refund. What a waste of my time!
The employee that tried 2 help me in the yard said that the Belton, Mo. Store had 19 pieces. Great! (This is the closest store 2 the Independence, Mo. Store. 18 miles away.) On the way 2 the next store I decided I should call 2 make sure they had the siding in stock. Yes they said. 19 pieces. I'm on my way.
Arrived at the Belton, Mo. Store, went in side and ordered my 2 pieces. They told me again that they did have it. Went and stood in line again 2 pay 4 my order.
Drove around the back 2 the yard and found the siding. Guess what! There was one piece and it was in bad shape. I'm starting 2 get upset. Tracked down another employee 2 help me. For 20 minutes he tried only 2 find out that 1 piece is all they had. Now I'm really upset.
Drove around 2 the front of the building 2 go inside and get a refund. They didn't believe they were out and wouldn't refund my money until it was confirmed. Another 15 minutes. Really!
Finally get my refund and leave very unhappy. I can't believe that Menards doesn't know what they have in their yard. Is it really that difficult 2 know your inventory? Maybe Menards should pay better attention 2 their inventory so their customers aren't getting the run around and wasting valuable time. By the time I got 2 the job site it has been 2 1/2 hours of my time wasted. Told my customer what I went through and had 2 show them the refund receipts 2 back my story. My customer is now unhappy. Great! Thank you 4 that Menards. I have the old siding off the house and I'm trying 2 figure out what 2 do. 2 get my customers house closed up. Go 2 Home Depot 2 buy 2 pieces of plywood 4 a temporary fix. Not sure what 2 do now. The other home improvement stores don't carry the siding that I need. This has been a very bad experience. It has costed me almost $300 and a whole day wasted. Maybe even a customer.
I asked 4 a gift card or something at the Belton Mo. Store 2 help make up 4 this hassle only 2 be told they can't do that. Menards lost a customer today. I will not shop at Menards anymore.
Excellent Service and Clean Store: A Review of the Lima, Ohio Lumber Store
Me and my husband had to buy some treated lumber for our deck on August 9th. We usually go to the Fort Wayne stores, but we couldn't find what we needed locally, so we called the Lima, Ohio store to see if they had what we needed. The guy on the phone was really helpful and confirmed that they had what we needed. We decided to make the 1 1/2 hour drive to buy the wood. When we got there, we were really impressed. The store was super clean, the carts were all lined up and not sticky, the floors were shiny, and the products on the shelves were all organized and labeled. We asked an employee for directions to the contractors desk and she was really nice and helpful. At the contractors desk, another guy helped us fill our order. One of the boards we needed was sold out, but he found a longer one for us at a minimal price. We both used the restrooms, which were really clean. The girl in the guard shack was really helpful and friendly. Once we got to the yard, we went to the building where some of the lumber was. My husband started loading the wood on our list and a young guy came over to help him. He was really friendly and helpful, and he made sure every board was straight and not too knotty. Part of the order was outside, and he helped my husband pull the flat deck boards. He noticed a storm coming and asked my husband how many 4 X 6 boards he needed. He went down and got the other lumber and him and another young boy carried them back to our truck. They finished pulling the deck boards, which were all really straight and good quality. My husband felt really safe from the Covid virus the whole time. We both commented on how nice it was to shop in a place like this and how friendly and helpful everyone was. As we were leaving, we noticed that all the lift trucks were parked in tight to fit under the roof of the lumber and keep them out of the weather. We both work for the company that services the trucks and we were impressed by this. This store in Lima, Ohio is really great. The employees are all really caring and helpful, which is hard to find these days. We would definitely make the drive again if we needed to.
Frustrating Experience at Menards Evendale: Rude Customer Service and Unfair Policies
I recently had an experience at Menards that left me feeling frustrated and stressed out. With everything going on in the world right now, the last thing anyone needs is to deal with rude customer service. Unfortunately, that's exactly what I encountered when I visited the Menards in Evendale.
I had traveled all the way from the West Side of Cincinnati to shop at Menards, but when I arrived, I found out that they were only allowing customers who were 16 years old and above. Luckily, the two girls I had with me had recently turned 16, so we were able to enter the store. However, things quickly went downhill from there.
As we were shopping, a customer service representative approached the girls and asked to see their driver's licenses. When they told her they didn't have one, she followed them over to where I was and told us that they needed to leave the store because they weren't 16. I tried to explain to her that the girls had only answered her question about their driver's licenses, but she insisted that they had told her they weren't 16.
This back-and-forth went on for about 10 minutes, with the customer service representative becoming increasingly rude and unhelpful. She even lied to me multiple times, telling me that the girls had said they weren't 16 when that wasn't true at all. It was a frustrating and stressful experience, and it left me feeling like I never wanted to shop at Menards again.
Not only was the customer service representative rude, but the store's policy of only allowing customers who are 16 and above is also problematic. Many 16-year-olds don't have driver's licenses yet, so it seems unfair to prevent them from entering the store. Additionally, as someone who raises a granddaughter, I know that insurance rates can skyrocket once a teenager gets their license, so it's not always feasible for them to have one.
Overall, my experience at Menards was disappointing and frustrating. I hope that the store will reconsider its policies and work to improve its customer service in the future. Until then, I'll be taking my business elsewhere.
Menards Store in Hermantown, MN: Unscrupulous Policies and Lack of Customer Care
I recently purchased a snowblower from Menards in Hermantown (Duluth) MN on Oct. 30. Unfortunately, I only had my car with me and the snowblower wouldn't fit in it. As I live in Canada, which is a four-hour drive away, I asked the young salesman if the store would hold it until I could return with a trailer to pick it up. He informed me that store policy only allowed it to be held for three weeks and suggested I make special arrangements at their service desk, which I did.
The woman at the service desk assured me that it would be no problem at all to hold it until I could get back down to Duluth on Nov. 26th. She even said they would take it off the floor and put it in the back. All I had to do was present my receipt at door #11 on Nov. 26th, and they would load it onto my trailer. With those assurances secured, I paid for the snowblower.
Fast forward to Nov. 26th. I rented a trailer in Canada and drove back to Duluth on Nov. 25th. When I presented my receipt at door #11 on Nov. 26th, I was shocked to find out that they had sold my snowblower. They had sold every model of that snowblower in all area stores. How could this happen when inventory is so carefully monitored by computer? They sold my machine, fully knowing that it had already been sold to me. Even after I went to all that trouble to get extra assurances that it was okay to pick it up past their policy timeframe.
It gets worse. I then asked to speak to the department manager, who told me that their policy was to hold prepaid merchandise for only two weeks, and it didn't matter what his employee had told me. I then asked to speak to the store manager, who was completely unsympathetic to my plight. He stated that it was store policy to hold such merchandise for only one week. I couldn't believe it. And of course, he didn't care at all that his employee/store representative and I had made an exemptive agreement.
The same girl who had given me the guarantee that I wouldn't have any trouble getting my blower on Nov. 26th was present during my conversations with both managers. She readily admitted that she had told me it would be okay to do the pick up on the 26th. She also stated that she clearly remembered our conversation. But the store manager refused to stand behind his employee. The poor woman looked so embarrassed, especially when the manager said he would "deal" with her later.
I sure as heck wouldn't have rented that trailer and driven all the way down there if I hadn't been guaranteed that the blower that was rightfully mine would be there. He tried to sell me a bigger blower with no offer of a discount or anything for my trouble. He clearly was not interested in satisfying this customer. In fact, every offer he made would have cost me more money, but his store wouldn't be out one cent. What kind of compromise is that?
I am putting this out there to warn people about the unscrupulous and confusing "policies" at the Menards store in Hermantown MN. The worst thing about the whole encounter was the blatant lack of caring shown by the store manager. He wasn't the least bit concerned about my problem, and he refused to take any responsibility for the mistake. He hid behind "store policy" and tried to tell me that there was "nothing he could do." Store policy has no flexibility, his hands were tied. What a crock of...
Any manager worth his salt would have bent over backwards to keep the customer happy, especially one who had spent thousands and thousands of dollars at his store over the past few years. Not this schmuck. My advice? Shop elsewhere. There are plenty of good retailers who really WANT your business.
Boycott Menards: Discriminatory Policies and Dangerous Manager
I recently had an experience at Menards that left me completely flabbergasted. I have been a loyal customer of Menards for over 5 years, spending upwards of $100,000 on building materials and other items. While the quality of their products, particularly lumber, has always been subpar, I continued to shop there to support local businesses. However, a recent encounter with one of their managers, Mike Likes, has left me with no choice but to boycott Menards for life.
My partner and I have a legal exemption to face coverings under Section 8(a) of MN EO 20-81, and since Menards is discriminatory against this, we must pay extra to have orders brought to the back gate. However, on their website, there is no way to apply a business's tax-exempt code. So, we placed our order over the phone and informed Mike of our mask exemption and that we would not be able to wear a mask. He assured us that we could pick up our order at the back gate and show ID to prove identity with regard to the tax-exempt code.
When we arrived, we were directed by staff to go to the back counter to talk to Mike. However, upon arrival, Mike rudely and aggressively demanded that we put on a mask, even though we had just spoken to him on the phone and were instructed to come to the desk. He then told us to leave and not return, pretending that he had no idea what we were there for and acting like we had not just spoken on the phone.
We calmly explained why we were there and that we needed to get the items we paid for before we could leave. However, Mike continued to escalate the situation and even called 911 within 45 seconds of our arrival. He then told us to walk through the store to the front, even though we weren't wearing masks, contradicting his own policy. We declined and asked for the order so we could leave. He refused to give us the name of his superior and became increasingly enraged.
As we were leaving, Mike rushed out after us, taking photos of our truck. He then ordered the gate to be closed and locked, preventing us from leaving the property. He even made fabricated claims of threats to trigger-happy police, which could have ended very badly if we were dealing with someone half as crazy as him. This behavior not only endangered the safety of employees and customers but also put us in danger.
As a result of this experience, I have decided to boycott Menards and give small, local hardware stores my business whenever possible. Home Depot has just earned our $1500 expenditure for the supplies we came to Menards for. Many other contractors we work with have also had very poor things to say about Menards and Mike in particular, and say they shop elsewhere when possible. Menards might want to get ahold of their unhinged and potentially dangerous manager, as more and more people continue to take their business out of town.
In conclusion, I would not recommend shopping at Menards due to their discriminatory policies and the behavior of their manager, Mike Likes. The quality of their products has always been subpar, and their customer service is unacceptable. I urge others to boycott Menards and support small, local businesses instead.
Menards Review: Quality Products and Service, But Beware of Gossip Culture
ng mistakes and blaming others for them. It's ridiculous.
But let's talk about the good things about Menards. The quality of their products is top-notch, and the service is great when the managers are following guidelines and procedures. I've worked with some great people there, like Adam, who is always helpful and kind. And I've worked with some not-so-great people, like Michelle, who is condescending and rude to guests and other workers. But that's just the nature of any workplace, right?
One thing that does bother me about Menards is the gossip culture. At the Cuyahoga Falls store, there were too many people called Blueberries who just stood around and complained about guests instead of finding something productive to do. And when guests needed help, most managers begrudgingly helped or told me to do it because they didn't get commission. It's frustrating when you're trying to do your job and help guests, but others are just standing around complaining.
And don't even get me started on the website. It's one of the worst I've ever seen. Trying to navigate it on your own is a nightmare. But despite all of these issues, I still think Menards is a great company with quality products and great service. Just be prepared to deal with some drama and gossip.

Rebate scam
Menards should be prosecuted for false advertising, Their 11% rebate has to be spent in their own store, if you try to hold off sending the receipts in so you can combine several in one envelope you wind up forgetting to mail them in and get screwed again. we would all be better of if Menards just dropped the prices about 2%, then we would at least not feel...

I placed an online order that Menard's website switched to the wrong store. When I noticed immediately after placing the order, I tried to contact them to change or cancel the order, but the only contact method is a general email request and they have no phone number. It took 24 hours for them to reply, in which time the order was placed into staged statu...

Today 4/21/24 at the Kalamazoo,mi Menards, I had a rude employee (substitute named Mike) at the lumber/bulk check out. Upon showing my receipt and signing for my bulk purchases the employee said. “sign you name, any name you want, anything but Joe Biden, I’d have to throw my iPad if you did that!” Political jokes are not appropriate for a professional...

Rebate international
After emailing Menard's and Rebate International for the fourth time, and them alleging they had mailed three different checks to my address on file. I just checked the rebate tracking system, and it shows that my rebate is again being processed. This is nothing more than a scam between Menard's and the company they hired to process their rebates. There are way too many complaints by other customers stating that they have not received their rebate checks on merchandise purchased at Menards. There should be sometime of class action lawsuit for misrepresentation, false advertising, fraud and scamming consumers. I have friends and family who never received their rebates, and because the amount was only $20 - $40 dollars, eventually gave up. My rebate is $173, and I will continue to pursue the issue out of integrity and holding them accountable.
Claimed loss: $173
Desired outcome: I want to be paid the rebate amount due to me $173. I could have purchased the same generator at Lowes; however, the rebate amount made a difference in cost savings.

After multiple emails and a fourth check supposedly being sent, I will see if I get it? Just the other day, I saw the rebate in the "processing" state again.
Raynard,
I am sorry for any inconvenience that may have been caused.

Rebate international
I submitted the attached pictures of my rebates, that I am being told that Rebate International has processed three checks. Anytime I contact them, they continue to process a new check that I never receive. In my last communication, I pointed out the fact that they have my correct mailing address. I honestly believe this is a complete scam by this company, that is responsible to provide this service to you "Menards" and the consumer. It has been since September 2023, that I submitted my rebates, the first check that was sent out on Nov 2, 2023, second check Jan 4, 2024, and the last check Feb 8, 2024. This is absolutely poor customer service, but based on the complaints on the link below this is common practice by Menards and Rebate International.

Rebates
I am tired of not seeing where rebates are in the process on your site. It’s been about 6 weeks since I sent it in and nothing. This is not the first time this has happened. I bought at Menards in Green Bay, attached is my receipt. I mailed in the date after purchase. 12/16. It should at least show that my rebate was received.

My rebate
Upon checking my rebate status, they said the sent me a check on 11/22/23 for $57.87. I never received any such check and I always go through my mail each day very carefully. I had to send an email because there is no phone number to call. The auto generated message says I have to wait for a response in the order it was received. I'm not holding my breath. Not happy.

Sherry, they claimed that they sent me three different checks, Nov, Jan, and Feb. I find it hard to believe that I get adds from Menard's and International Rebates in the mail, but not one of these supposed checks they sent. I will continue to file weekly complaints on Menard's and International Rebates websites. They owe me $173.00, in rebates.
Maya sales associate
Maya is very very rude, unprofessional. No please, no thank you! She ordered me to get my shopping cart outside, in a military style tone of voice. I was stunned and confused, could not believe my ear! I replied, are you talking to me. She replied if you don't move cart I will move it for you. I just realized, I had empty propane tank in it. I did not know...

I placed an online purchase on 12/28/23 and paid for it with my credit card. My contract went today (1/2/24) to pick up my purchase and he was told that the purchase was made on a fraudulent credit card (it was not) and that if he didn't present the credit card and his identification, the material was not leaving the store and that they had called security. I listed my contractor's name as the person picking up the order.
When I called the 6800 Broad Street, Columbus Ohio store, I was told that sometimes customer service flags cards and purchases like this one.
My contractor was treated rudely and as if he was a thief (and by extension I was too). If the card had a problem, the purchase should/would not have gone through.
This is extremely unprofessional customer service. Needless to say, I no longer care if Menards has a good price or the product that I want, I will no longer be a customer.
Claimed loss: Dignity and reputation of my contractor - which is an asset whose value can not be measured.
Desired outcome: If purchases are to be "flagged", add that to the confirmation email so no one has to go through this type of degradation. Coach your personnel not to be rude and assume someone is trying to steal from Menards when orders are placed online.

Rebates
I sent my rebates in over 10wks ago and on the website it says it was mailed out november 21st, 2023! There is no tracking number and they make it impossible to get in touch and figure out wats going on. My rebate is 300 and thats alot when your living day to day! I still have not received my check and would like to talk to a actual person who wont refer me to the website. Bull crap...the first time i mailed in my rebates i didnt have a issue but it was alot less than this check. Something needs to be done! Dont tell people send these in and get rebates and then never send them there checks for money spent at the store. They need to make it easier for people to get answers instead of pushing it off bc that's a way to not deal with it...by saying write a email or it a way of saying we win you lose...i feel...
Desired outcome: Please send my check and a actual person contact me with some solution

Ban
Was banned from Menards for being in the vehicle when somebody else was as you would say, arrested for theft when the theft occurred the Menards guy actually call counted and handed the material to my uncle and the cops really didn’t even wanna arrest him or ban him they thought it was a joke and somehow I am being charged for the products when they got the products back which was only a few dollars worth and some of my materials that I brought in to change out they ended up keeping and then I just got a trespassing notice when I shouldn’t even be banned and didn’t [censored]ing know I was banned [protected]
Desired outcome: Ban lifted
Customer service
I needed a recliner, called and asked if they would load it up and tie it down for me and they a said yes,but tbey lied to me to make a sale
Went there to pickup and the guy was not trained well at loading products. He used a forklift and set it in my truck along with a pallet and He didn't push it in up to the cab. I asked him if it needed tied down and he said no it will be ok. Well I don't get 2 minutes down the highway and the wind caught it under the pallet and blew it right out of my truck. Splattered on the side of the highway . I called them up and they said to bad but not their problem. They said they don't tie down. Well at least the guy should have told me when I asked him if it needed tied then I could have secured it myself. And if he wasn't so lazy to not take it off of the pallet then the wind wouldn't have gotten under it. I prob spend $3000 a year at Menards but I will never step foot in another Menards again.
Claimed loss: $400
Desired outcome: Replacement
Customer service
I was just in the Elgin, Il store on Randall Road 2/21/23 @ 10:45am. There were two girls standing around waiting for a customer. I chose a lane and the girl started scanning my order. Hello, Yesterday 10/3/23 around 12pm I went up to Menards with my boss's card to rent a Rugdoctor for 24hours for the company I work for. While I was there, the employee didn't quite know what she was doing but she got it done. After the transaction, she told me to pick a machine. I did that and left. I wasn't told a time to return the machine nor how to...

I am writing abut the return policy for siding. The order number was 3047679. it was for 150 pieces of D5 Monogram Cypress siding. I just had my house sided last year so I knew I needed the D5. I also knew it wasn't Dutch lap. I ended up with Dutch lap D5. The La Crosse store said it wasn't their fault. I don't believe it's my fault either. I have spent...
