At the beginning of August, 2023, Walgreens started autofilling all my RX even though my profile does not give them permission to do this. I have complained to the pharmacist who just shrugged their shoulders and to their customer service phone number. I was told on 8/23 that they would get back to me but they have not done so. These autofills are being charged to my insurance company and this has caused some problems where they have tried to fill them too soon and I get a letter from Humana about this. I can go to Walgreens site to cancel the autofill but it means I have to check every day to see what they have decided to fill without my permission in order for it not to stop it getting processed through my insurance.
Desired outcome: Have Walgreens stop autofilling my RX and only fill them when I order them.

Despite repeated efforts on my part this continues. I talked to a pharmacist at another store and he told me they had signed me up for their "Save a Trip" program which was causing this, which I also have never asked them to do. I could only get this stopped by going to my usual store, I couldn't even cancel it myself online. I went into my store and the pharmacist said she would take care of this. What is going on? Since when was it ok for a pharmacy to sign me up for programs like this and not even tell me? I live in Illinois and autofills, without my permission, violate my state law and the DOJ is looking into whether they are violating Medicare laws.
