After church went to Steak & Shake to use gift card. Placed order at drive thru window and took order home to eat with wife and niece. I got the pork/ hamburger and on the second bite realized something wasn't right and pulled what appeared to be a vinyl glove from my sandwich. I didn't eat anymore and neither did my wife or neice. I took it back to Steak & Shake and this time went inside and told the cook on the grill I wanted to speak with the manager. He told me they were busy and it would be a few minutes. I said no I wanted to see the manager now, he asked me what the problem was, I opened up the sandwich with the vinyl glove and layed it on the counter and asked to speak with the manager now. When a female - later identified as Liliaana- came out she saw the sandwich and vinyl glove laying on the counter. I told her I wanted to speak with the manager and she indicated that the cook was sorta the manager. I then asked Liliaana why didn't the cook tell me he was sorta the manager. She then said sorry it must have been a accident, I told her the glove did not fall into the middle of my sandwich, it had to have been put there. I then gave Liliaana the receipt and requested the managers name and corporate phone number, Liliaana then went to the back leaving the sandwich and glove on the counter for waiting customers to see. After waiting several minutes I told the cook that I wanted my receipt back, he said that was not my receipt it was the order receipt for the cook. I told the cook that was the receipt I received with the order and brought back into the store and I wanted it back with the managers name and corporate phone number. Liliaana then came back with a reprint SteaknShake receipt with her name written on the top and told me the number I needed was on the bottom. I looked at the receipt and saw the phone number was for the Mt Vernon store not corporate. The cook then said the number I need was on the door. They made no attempt to rectify the situation. I got the phone number off the door and left with the sandwich and vinyl glove I brought in. This is a GREAT health concern for my family, others and myself at which I am recovering from a lung that collapsed two times. With COV 19 active in our nation this is definitely a public health hazard. I still have the food & glove in the SteaknShake original wrap in case we get sick and need medical attention. I did not know any of the employees at SteaknShake. I want to know how this could happen and will it be dealt with harshly ASAP? I want health hazzard compensation plus the cost of our order $16.32
