On 11 Jan 2020 at 11:25am I had the unfortunate pleasure of visiting this Steak n Shake and soon as you walk in the door there's water everywhere, I mean the ceiling was leaking really, really ban and the floor was soaked, with water continuously coming from the ceiling. I walk in a take seat because wanted my food to go. So I sit and sit and sit, so finally I say to no one special "Is anybody going to take my order. The on the guy on the grill say someone will be with shortly-now the manager was beside him and said nothing. I know she was the manager because she wore a jacket to cover the fact that she was out of uniform. So I continue to sit, as I watch as not one, not two, but three employees walk right bye me like I was invisible, bye this time a line was forming at the register and the manager came over at this time and only at this did she acknowledge me, and asked how can she help me. needless to say I had an attitude and said "oh wow". To me it was a very racist move that never should have happened, with a least 5 people working the floor but no one asked to help me. The thing about it she an an attitude, with no smile even close to forming on her mouth. You in customer service a smile goes along ways and besides if you don't like your job then get another one don't give your company a bad reputation. This the first review I've ever written because the situation was a lot worse and I don't want them to get fired, just a change in attitude and customer service which goes hand hand and that racist "BS" should've been gone along time ago, So please offer more training, follow up, And remember it's not what you say it's how it is received.
Steak 'n Shake - unsanitary restroom
i visited the above steak n shake on 11-4 19 & ordered a family meal, when we were done eating i went to the restroom, it was trashed, filthy & unsanitary, i immediately got sick and puked outside . its very obvious that the rest room had been in that condition for several days .there was a strong sent of urine by the toilets .
i made a complaint on the same day, corporate told me the manager would contact and as this date 11-6-19 no one has reached out to me . complaint no. 1516131 . my contact information is kent Easley ., 5901 east washington street, apt. 16, indianapolis, indiana 46219 . temp phone number [protected] . an appropriate satisfying remedies i request 1. a $ 100.00 gift certificate and 2. $100 cash, i had to go out and stomach medications .
