Rip off! Rip off! Took advantage of a situation we were dealing with long distance. Spoke directly with the Manger (VJ) of the hotel to book a regular room for our son flying home from college in the Midwest to the PNW. We said he would get there at 10pm at the earliest (he had a 5 hour drive after an all day training) and would be leaving at 5am for the airport. We have stayed at this property numerous times before and asked for a regular room (with 2 queen beds). Manager said no worries. Then proceeded to book him in a King Suite without telling us. We didn't know until we saw the credit card statement. Called the manager and was given one excuse after another then he said he no longer wished to talk to me and hung up. Lodged a complaint with corporate. Never again! There are other nearby hotels that can get us to the South Bend airport. Shameful exploitation.
Desired outcome: I would like a refund. I would be happy to pay for a rate of a regular room vs the king size suite rate. At no time in making the reservation did the manager say they were booked to capacity and a king suite was the only thing available.
