My name is Bruce Shorts. I am filing a complaint concerning your New Carrollton MD Shoppers Food. On July 5th 2023. I was attacked by the Bookkeeper of the store. 2 security guards. 1 guard pointed his gun a me though I had no weapon. The store manager banned me from the store. At least 3 cashier's all were responsible for the attack. Twice a week I get cash back on my debit card. Sometimes it would deposit the wrong amount of money on my card. So on this occasion the company deposited $55 dollars instead of $65 dollars. I asked for $64 dollars cash back, it was not approved. So I tried to buy a soda again approval denied. I called the card and they informed me there was only $55 dollars put on the card. I wanted a refund for the 2 soda's so the cashier sent me to the Bookkeeper. The Bookkeeper and I had a big fallout in early 2023. So when I went to the customer service desk. The Bookkeeper refused to help me get my refund. I was going to talk to the Manger when the Bookkeeper and started yelling at each other. Than the Bookkeeper put his hands on me. I retaliated and punched him in the eye. The security guard with the gun kept threatening to shoot though I had no weapon. Manager comes from his office the security guard and the cashier's lied for the Bookkeeper. I wanted them to call the police but they would not take that action. Please look at the tape on July 5 2023 btw 3 pm - 5 pm. I would like the Bookkeeper fired for putting his hands on me. The 2 security guards for threatening my life. I want to be able to shop at the Shoppers Nes. Carrollton since it is close to my home. I filed a formal complaint on July 6 2023. No response from shoppers. Here is my formal written complaint

I bought $20 dollars worth of groceries and gave the cashier a $100 dollar bill and she made a scene because she had several customers that gave her a $100 dollar bill. She stepped back from the register, put her hands on her hips, walked around in circles and shaking her head. Then continued to repeat herself, stating that she could not continue to do this and that they (meaning the customer) must have broke the bank today (loud). The manager walked up to assist her in making change when she stated that she had enough change this time. However, they both laughed and continued (they must have broke the bank) as customers stopped to see what was going on. I feel that as a large chain supper market they should be able to make change without a problem. It certainly does not seem to be a problem when I spend $150 to $250 dollar every month buying groceries in this store. This is not the first time I have had a problem with the cashiers in this particular store. One cashier seem to be very busy and when I gave her my ticket after 2 or 3 seconds stepped back and stopped with questioning eyes to say good morning in which I said good morning in return. However, she continued by saying Oh I know you were not going to stand their and not speak. As she walked away she continued to mutter about not speaking. This was way out of line. They may not mean any harm but good customer service training is needed. This is the only Shoppers Food Warehouse that I have a problem with. The other stores I go to in this area have very good customer service. Please provide training for your employees.
