Extended Stay America

I began my stay with an extended stay of America in Canton Michigan mid-February 2021. I came in on the weekend and the girl that checked me in spoke extremely fast. It was a little overwhelming but she did mention people that were coming to survey the rooms come Monday. I was relieved to not be disturbed come Monday and assumed they surveyed my room while I was at work. I told the staff that I worked afternoons and I do not come back until 3 AM. So I sleep late. The survey people along with the manager Miss Brown interrupted me at 9:15 that week. I was very upset and it was very clear. She was rude, unsympathetic, and empathetic, and very cold. Since then, she is still held a grudge. Very unprofessional person.

I've told them not to disturb the room please and thank you and yet I have been disturbed numerous times. I have paid and yet still have had my door knocked on to confirm payment. I've seen ads for extended stay of America and how the staff is helpful and accommodating… There is none of that.

Someone spilled a drink down the stairwell and when I reported it was there 10 hours later when I came back from work again.

The wheel cart that you push your bags and have wheels that are destroyed and need to be replaced.

One hand doesn't know what the others doing with the entire staff.

I would like to see something done. I am settled. But I hate being here. I feel very uncomfortable asking the staff for anything. I asked for trash bags and toilet paper. Miss Brown corrected the attendant by telling her to only give me one roll of toilet paper.

I was pretty upset they had no coffee. I came from staying at the Econolodge hotel. The hotel was a lot more comfortable, and they offered coffee soap cleaning supplies... I will never stay in this hotel after I leave and find my apartment. And I would never recommend Canton extended stay in America.
