DO NOT DO BUSINESS with these people! Run now.
They installed our hardwood flooring improperly which VOIDED our manufacturers warranty. The floors are gapping, uneven, shifting and waving due to their FAILURE to acclimate our flooring. This is COMMON practice and they will not address this issue - for 9 months we have been trying to get them to answer our questions and make good on the warranties they advertised. They will not address their mistake and our warranties. They have not responded to us, the BBB or the Attorney General's office. They have lied to us and to their corporate office. These people are unethical and dishonest. They advertised two warranties which apply to our flooring and since we have brought up the issue they have corrected their website but we have proof. They owe us a new floor. They installed our floor incorrectly by their own guidelines, The National Wood Association's guidelines and the manufacturer's guidelines but keep lying about it. Do not do business with any of the Kjellberg locations you wil be sorry!
This is serious. Kjellberg's has broken FTC laws and they know it. We cannot even get a call back from these people. We will see what the judge has to say.
Horrible experience, faulty installation, poor quality flooring, false advertising of warranties, zero customer service or follow through, deceptive business practices. Unethical.
UPDATE: Mr. Stonecipher/Kjellberg is now claiming he needs to "look into the manufacturer's warranty" - after 9 months of our asking him the same questions over and over. There has been ample time for him to try and understand what is the most basic elements of his business. He has not and appears unwilling to address the fact their faulty installation has voided our manufacturer's warranty AND Kjellberg's own warranty obligation to us. Mr. Stonecipher is now demanding an inspection to prove we have acclimation issues and without an inspection "there is no solution". Inpsections are only appropriate when manufacturer's defect is suspected. No inspection is needed to establish Kjellbergs failure to acclimate, nor to establish that the terms of the manufacturer's installation requirements for honoring their warranty have been directly violated by Kjellbergs failure to acclimate. No inspection is need to demonstrate that our warranteed installation was far from professional, nor to prove that is was in serious violation of completely typical industry standards. No acclimation is a clear and masive failure on both accounts. This is just another smokescreen, unethical, dishonest treatment of their customer. Unbelieveable. We don't have to prove anything - they in fact are required by law to honor their warranties and correct their huge mistake. His request is highly inappropriate and another diversion from addressing his culpibility and obligations to us.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.

Please see attached photo of their awful installation.
This does not surprise me at all. I am a St Louis Park resident at the Wolf Lake Condominiums who has experienced faulty installation with this exact establishment. They installed brand new carpet and the Manager, Aaron Cahill, wanted to do a patch. If the job were done right the first time this would have been avoided. I would recommend to the consumer public that you avoid Kjellberg Carpet One in Elk River, MN. I have attached a photo so you can see their workmanship. The photo reflects a hole that their installers cut which is clearly visible when the closet doors are shut. It looks terrible. Mr. Cahill wanted to do a patch seam to fix this but told me they color might be slightly off ! Further, the installers left a huge mess all over the place and left wood adhesive on the wood floor. Very unprofessional !
They were provided the option to do a re-carpeting on the entire room or in the alternative I would have the room re-carpeted and would have my attorney submit the bill to them on the payable terms of NET 30. These types of matters are enforceable through conciliation court and judgments can be enforced by means of garnishment and a Writ of Execution in which the Sheriff's Dept will seize their corporate account. Fellow consumers, protect yourselves from this establishment and utilize a different provider. If they will dump on those of us who have posted complaints then I cannot see why they would not do the same to you.
