Fantastic Sams Cut & Color

On July 23rd, 2021, I visited the Fantastic Sams salon located at 5330 Cedar Lake Rd. in St. Louis Park, MN, for an eyebrow waxing service. Unfortunately, my experience took a turn for the worse, resulting in a severe staph infection. Despite my efforts to communicate the issue, I have not received any meaningful response from either the specific salon or your corporate office.

After experiencing symptoms, I promptly sought medical attention and contacted the salon through your website's "contact us" form. When I did not receive a response, I reached out directly to the salon and spoke with Jennifer B, who identified herself as the manager/owner. Despite initial concern, promised follow-ups were never fulfilled, leaving me without resolution or acknowledgment of my serious health issue.

Frustrated by the lack of response, I took to my local Nextdoor community to share my experience and warn others. This led to media coverage on Fox 9 news on October 1st, 2021, highlighting the gravity of the situation. Statements made by Virginia R the purported owner of successful salons, were included, raising questions about the overall standards across your brand.

My concerns deepened upon discovering that the Minnesota Board of Cosmetology had conducted an investigation into the specific salon, citing nine violations related to infection control, including issues I had personally observed during my visit. Shockingly, public records for Virginia R's two salons revealed a total of 87 violations over 16 inspections, with 25 occurring after my incident. This indicates a concerning lack of progress in addressing serious infection guidelines imposed by the Board of Cosmetology.

It has been over 2 1/2 years and I still have a very visible scar on my face and there has not been any accountability, or even a refund for my wax.
