Mkay so a few minutes ago in the Lenoir, NC store on wilkesboro blvd with it being 7:25 PM, me and a friend walked into so we could use the cash back feature they offer because it's the easiest to deal with, we walked in and went straight to the energy drinks display cooler directly behind the registers so I could pick out a drink and we were not standing there long enough for me to even pick one out before an employee said "excuse me" and leaned down directly in front of us completely in our personal space to put two water bottles on the shelf... While he does this I notice what appears to be a manager maybe ? Standing unnecessarily close to us from behind, as well as yet another employee stood behind me to the right, also about the same distance away from me - so this automatically made me feel uncomfortable... They seemed to be having a conversation about something I couldn't really catch what it was. Either way I don't know what could have been so serious that they needed to literally surround me and my friend to talk about it not 2 minutes after we stepped foot in the store... Well they continue on while me and my friend look at each other like wondering what in the world was going on, i personally was honestly creeped out me being a female with all of these male employees invading my personal space very quickly with an almost aggressive tension hanging between all of us.. neither my friend or I had even picked up any merchandise to buy yet... Anyway, so the original employee that basically jumped in front of us to put two small random water bottles back literally takes another step my way to put something else back.. I'm over the situation so I just grab my drink and walk to the register, my friend in line behind me. I turn to say something to him, and as I do I see the aforementioned employees immediately dispersing from where we had been standing to go in different directions, individually... Like.. to me that was absolutely unnecessary and I feel completely disrespected and really I honestly feel somewhat harassed. My friend and I did absolutely nothing wrong to receive this treatment and obviously I feel so strongly to file a complaint because I don't think this should be acceptable, it's discrimination/profiling.. when neither me nor my friend appear to look like some scum of the earth of the street like we were immediately treated... Seriously not giving this location of food lion my business anymore.
Desired outcome: An apology would be nice, but I don't expect anything of the sort really.. just wanted to let my voice be heard.
