Purchased new 65 inch OLED TV for $2568 in December 2021 at Best Buy in Durham North Carolina. Tv has defective audio. LG scheduled repair tech that did not show up as scheduled. Called LG and they claim the technician has ordered parts for a TV they haven’t inspected. LG knows TV was sold with defective parts. LG refuses to accept a return for defective TV.
Repair tech showed up two weeks later to replace control board. Issue not resolved and was witnessed by repair tech, who admitted that the TV was not behaving properly.
Desired outcome: I want to return this TV for a refund and buy a different brand that doesn’t not lie to or take advantage of customers. This TV was $2600 and was purchased 12/2021

LG Electronics - LG Dishwasher not acceptable
I recently purchased a dishwasher through the LG website because they were the only place that said that they could get it to me quickly.
I was supposed to get a delivery around February 14. Suddenly it was delayed and I did not receive a delivery until March 8. I was supposed to get free installation but they said they cannot install until March 28 so I paid for a plumber to come install the product on the on March 13 for $180. After using the dishwasher for less than a week, it was very clear that this dishwasher did not work for me. There are only four lines of spokes in the bottom of the basket (which you can't see on the website since they have dishes in the picture) and it does not accommodate my type of bowls and plates (Picture #1). I was having to run two loads to my one load of my last dishwasher.
Also I decided on LG black stainless so it would match my LG Black stainless refrigerator. The colors are completely different so they don't match at all. The dishwasher is more silver versus the black stainless refrigerator that has a grey black color. It looks terrible! (Picture 2 and 3)
It also make a high pitched squeal that you can hear when it is running. Definitely a noisy unit.
I sent a request on 3/22 to return it but never heard back. I've sent several requests and I called today and I have now been denied for some reason.
I have already purchased a new dishwasher and the other one is now sitting in a box waiting to come back. I would've ordered it from Best Buy but they said they couldn't get it to me in a timely manner like supposedly LG was going to do and then it didn't happen. I need to return the dishwasher.
I have all of the correspondence if needed but I can't upload it because they are PDFs.
Desired outcome: Return and a refund.

LG Electronics - French door refrigerator, model lmxs30776
Purchased an LG French Door refrigerator in February, 2017 and loved the features and room it provided. In November, 2018 had issues with compressor/motor making a lot of noise, so much so that it was hard to listen to the TV in family room. Called warranty provider, who then had the service company, Goldwing, call to set up appointment. Goldwing came out and said they had to order parts. Waited and finally serviced refrigerator. Still didn't solve problem, and service provider came out again to replace compressor. After several attempts, went back to store (Spencer's) unit was purchased from and they arranged to have the whole unit replaced in November, 2018. The compressor went out on the new unit on August 11th, 2020 and called warranty company to fix. Scrambled to save what frozen food we could from the freezer and move refrigerated items to coolers and small outdoor refrigerator. Called LG to utilize the Smart Diagnostics feature, but after being put on hold for an hour we gave up on that. The warranty company, Centurion Home Shield, called back and indicated the quickest that LG could come out was the following week on August 18. Called LG directly to see if they could provide a spare for all of the food in coolers with ice until they could repair since it was taking them so long to service their product. They told us to go back to warranty company to make request. We told them we already did and they told us to go to LG since that was their responsibility. We even went back to Spencer's where we purchased the unit and they told us they couldn't do anything either, since the unit was already replaced once. So basically, we are stuck during the heat of an Arizona summer without a refrigerator and no one willing to help or do anything for us to get by while LG is not able to service their customers in a timely manner because their products have such a backlog of repair orders. Meanwhile, we are buying ice everyday to salvage what we have left. Unbelievable! LG could care less. In talking with one of the several repairmen, he claims the compressor is severely under size for the unit and that we will probably have this problem again. Really. No one should pay $3, 000 for a refrigerator that lasts only 1 1/2 years and no timely repairs! And no customer service, who can speak and understand English, to boot!

LG Electronics - lg refrigerator model lfx25974st
I have an LG refrigerator (LFX25974ST) purchased in January, 2013. It stopped cooling. I called the LG service number located inside the fridge [protected]). Over the phone, I was sold on the LG Premium Repair coverage and purchased the policy on January 27, 2016. After four visits from Authorized Repair services provided by LG, my refrigerator is still not working. I do feel that one of the providers fraudulently claimed to have replaced parts that were not replaced, which I will outline below. This experience has soured my family on the LG brand. I have outlined my experience below.
After purchasing the warranty, it was downhill from there. The soonest appointment with an authorized provider was 2 weeks later, which we scheduled. In the meantime, I paid, out of pocket, for another company to diagnose the issue so that I could, hopefully, speed up the repair. This outside company told me that the evaporator needed to be replaced.
The authorized provider, AV repair, came and said that it was not the evaporator. The compressor had gone bad and, as it was still under warranty, it needed to be ordered, which would take another 2 weeks. The compressor was allegedly installed by AV Repair on Tuesday, February 16. The repair, from the time the repairman walked in until the time he walked out, was slightly under 1 hour. The repairman told me that I would have ice by that evening. I placed ¼ cup of water in the freezer. By the following morning, it was not even slightly iced and we called AV Repair again to come out for the third time.
On Friday, February 19, the same repairman returned. He proceeded to take the same parts apart again. He claimed that there was sludge in the filter, which caused the problem. He cleaned it out and said, again, that I would have ice by that evening. He left within the hour. I, again, put in ¼ cup of water in the freezer. By 4:30 PM, the entire until wasn’t even slightly cool. We called AV Repair again and could not get ahold of anyone. We called LG and told them to send out a new provider.
On Monday, February 22, EZTac, the company provided by LG, came out to check on the refrigerator. After taking off the back vent and looking at the compressor, I was told that, in this repairman’s professional opinion, this compressor was never replaced. He did confirm that there was a seal system issue. However, EZTac does not do those kinds of repairs and, thus, had to decline the work. This repairman also mentioned that replacing a compressor, correctly, could not reasonably be done in under an hour.
I called LG again. I took pictures of the serial number on the compressor, which clearly shows a manufacture date of 2012. In my opinion, this constitutes fraud given that AV Repair did bill for and, supposedly, receive a brand new compressor that was certainly not installed on my unit. I explained this to LG. I have now had 4 different visits, multiple alleged diagnoses and, yet, my refrigerator does not work. After being transferred several times, I was finally speaking with someone from the United States to explain the problems I had, as well as the fraud, and I was told that my options include continuing to work with AV Repair (the company that had already proved incompetence) or to receive a refund on my warranty.
Given that my refrigerator was purchased 3 years ago and the seal system is covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, it seems absurd that I was unable to use LG’s providers to repair an LG refrigerator. We opted to request the refund for the warranty and we are going to purchase a new refrigerator. It should be noted that I never received any paperwork explaining the repair policy. I received an email receipt after payment that had a hyperlink to LG Premium Repair Coverage, but that link returns a 404 not found error.
I wish that my family could wait to work with LG to have this issue resolved properly. But, a month without a refrigerator, with a toddler and a pregnant woman, living out of coolers with ice bags is just not reasonable.
LG black stainless steel IS NOT REALLY BLACK STAINLESS STEEL. It is black translucent plastic finish over the regular stainless steel and is prone to chipping and peeling back. It starts just after LG's warranty runs out! Go figure! The warranty you get from the seller, like Best Buy does not cover the finish. But they don't tell you this when you purchase the black stainless steel refrig. AND THEY ARE STILL SELLING THEM! BLACK STAINLESS STEEL IS A RIPE OFF!
