On 08/05 I went to a Mavis tire branch in Englishtown, NJ to get a front end alignment for my car. I walked into the store and spoke with Fadi and gave him my keys. It took them 2 hours to finally put my car on the alignment machine. After 20 minutes Fadi came and told me I have to replace the tie rods because it was rusted. He wanted to charge me over $600 for it and my mechanic could do it for only $275. I had them replaced and came back to him again 08/13 to get the alignment done but this time he came back and told me that the tie rods were not installed correctly. It seems he was bothered that I didn’t do it at his shop. He showed me and I am pretty knowledgeable about cars and the tie rods looked like they were installed properly. Dispite that I still took it to the person who installed it to have him look at it and told me nothing was wrong. I came back to the mavis branch on 08/16 and tried to get the alignment done again. This time Fadi told me that they were able to do it and praised how well it was done. This was very strange because the mechanic didn’t do anything and it was the same as the last time I brought it to him. I was very happy at that time that I was finally able to get it done and paid the invoice amount of $87.85 and Fadi told me that there is a 3 month or 3,000 mile warranty. I left mavis and headed home, It didn’t take long to notice that the alignment still wasn’t fixed. Luckily I was only down the street and came back and told Fadi the alignment was not fixed. He seemed very angry and yelled at his employee to “get it fixed!” I wait around 20 to 25 minutes for them to fixed it and I thought this time it was surely fixed, but to my surprise it was not unfortunately I couldn’t take it back because I had work. The next day 08/17 I had my son take the car back to him to have them fix the alignment again. This time they gave my son a list of things they wanted to replace and these things were not broken and some of them had nothing to do with the alignment. Among these items were rear tires, brake pads, brake rotors, stripped lug bolt (which was not stripped before), inner and outer tie rods which I had already replaced at there request, and tie rod boots which were replaced with the tie rods and were not ripped when I brought it to them. My son told him that he didn’t mention any of these things before as being broken and nobody touched since they did yesterday. He told Fadi that majority of these things were not broken or related to the alignment and as for the tie rod boots and the lug bolt, my son told them that they were not damaged prior to us bringing the car to them. Fadi at this time got really angry with my son, he was yelling, cursing, and getting very aggressive. My son then politely asked him for a refund since nothing was fixed. Fadi refused and proceeded to kicked my son out of the store while cursing and threw the keys in the parking lot. My son called me and told me what happened, I was surprised and couldn’t believe it. I called Fadi and asked him to issue me a refund or I would leave him a bad review. He responded by cursing me out and saying “I don’t care!” I have tried to address this with customer service directly but unfortunately they have been dismissive and unresponsive to my concerns.
