I had an appointment on September the 1st to see the dentist for a 6-month checkup and also for a cleaning. My appointment was at 8:00 a.m. in the morning I arrived there at 7:50 I was the first one in the office and signed in. As time went by and was watching the staff I noticed the dentist coming out and speaking to a staff member in reference to a letter that he was trying to correct with her. I was getting concerned when I was not even taken back to a chair for My appointment. Finally they called my name and I sat in that chair for a good 40 minutes and I went out to the front desk to see what the holdup was. They said the dentist would be in soon. He finally came around and examined my teeth asked me how I was and I told him that I could be better because of the long wait. He did not apologize and then to find out that the hygienist That was supposed to be there to clean people's teeth called out and they did not have another hygienist to clean people's teeth. By that time I was very frustrated and told the office manager that I would not be coming back as I have been a long long time patient of this Laurel Springs office. I feel that I should have been notified that there was no hygienist in the office when I first walked in because it was a very important visit for me as my son was getting married the next day and I wanted to have my teeth cleaned. There was also another patient who walked out with me because of the same reason.
Desired outcome: I should have been informed that there was no hygienist there to clean my teeth when I signed in for my appointment.
