The Pei Wei restaurant was almost empty at 11:00 am-not busy at all. Three in our party ordered a meal. One person in the party received their order in a timely manner. The server offered no explanation as to why the other two orders did not arrive nor did she express that we could expect it soon. We waited for 30 minutes after the first meal arrived before going up to the front and inquiring as to where the other 2 meals were. The manager said that there was a large "to go" order and in process and we would be next. She expressed that I should look for myself at the cooking area to see what she was talking about- in other words I should not be interfering with their more pressing orders. We waited another 20 minutes before the server brought one dish which was not even what we ordered. No explanation of why the first order was brought out before the others nor why this one single dish was brought without the other dish, nor why it was not what we ordered. At this point we decided to leave without the two meals as our work lunch hour was over and told the server that we'd like to take the 2 orders off our bill. We had to again go up to the front to see if this was going to happen as she never came back. We were given a receipt with the corrected amount. When trying to go onto the website later to give my feedback, the 15 number code had the last 3 numbers scribbled out so that was not possible. This whole situation was handled so unprofessionally by both the server and manager that we will never go back to this restaurant again. We have never been treated so badly at a restaurant before and we've never had to complain about a restaurant before now. This was unacceptable business practice.
