12/22/2021 Signs on shelves said digital coupon pricing was available for 18-count Simple Truth eggs and for Peet's coffee. At self check- out, I was told the help "are not supposed" to take off the $1 per item, but customer service could. Great- I love to go stand in another line. I went to Customer Service and was told they could not take off the digital coupons either. I asked for contact information to complain about this policy and was instead given a lecture on how to grocery shop.
Smith's cannot require people to have computers or smart phones to get the lowest prices. This policy discriminates against the very people who cannot afford either. Smith's online search generally does not work for me. Customers should not be required to scroll through hundreds of digital coupons to find what's on sale, even if they have tech access. What is the purpose of the weekly sale ad? It is offensive that your employees refuse to or are not allowed to help customers. Why have a Customer Service desk? Who invents these policies? How can a customer even know if they exist?
Desired outcome: Stop making grocery shopping such a complicated and frustrating experience. Let store staff actually provide customer service.
Smith's - Unsafe shopping environment
On 1/08/2021 my mother in law was physically attacked by another customer while checking out. She was trying to maintain social distancing and the other customer hit her with frozen french fries. My mother in law is elderly and could have been seriously injured. No help from Smith's employees, thankfully another customer came to her aid. Many shoppers not wearing masks in violation of our Governor's order. Smith's, 2B NM 344, Edgewood NM.
Desired outcome: Enforce masks , social distancing and maintain shopper's safety.
