I joined the gym on 11/20/22 as there was a special to join for $1 and try the gym for 1 month for free. I also would get one personal trainer session for free. When I set this up, the employee instructed me to click “agree” on the key pad. I stated that I would not do this as it seemed this was a contract for 3 months of personal trainer sessions. The employee stated that that was not the case and he could cancel this contract after my first session. I did click “accept” but due to my work schedule, I was not able to attend the free personal trainer session. I am told now that I am locked into 3 months of personal training as I should have canceled 3-5 days before the first session.
It is now 12/13/22. I want to cancel the whole deal, no gym membership, no personal trainers but am told I have to pay for the 3 months.
Not only was the “sign-up” misleading, it is fraud.
Desired outcome: Cancel my membership as it is in the first “free month” as well as the trainer sessions I did not sign up for
EOS Fitness - Gym membership for 4 people
I signed up for a gym membership for me and my children, @8125 W Sahara Ave Unit 100
Las Vegas, NV 89117
United States
The Start Date: 04/25/2022, my son and daughter went in The next day Around 6 PM and the entire Gym smelled like pot! People was smoking pot in the lifting area, and dressing rooms and the gym workers did not even care a few of them was laughing with the people smoking pot if not doing it as well! On top of that the place was filthy there was barbells missing and most of them was on the floor… besides the point I would not want my kids around that kind of influence, they was supposed to start a healthy habit by going to the gym, not a bad one by starting to smoke WEED!? So naturally I called the gym directly to cancel my subscription, and to get a refund since we’ve never went to the gym since that one time. But then I was told that they couldn’t do anything, so they directed me to call the corporate office, in which I did…. After waiting 1hour to speak to someone, and finally getting her to understand what the problem was, I was told I was getting a full refund and that they would the canceled membership. I actually stood two hours on the phone having to verify everything! Repeating myself constantly! But at the end of it all the cancellation and my refund Never happened! But even worst! they are still withdrawing money out of my account! and it’s not even for the amount of the membership I just got charged twice for $99.98 and $24.99 in one month! So a total cost of almost $250 worth the charges AFTER I CANCELED!
Desired outcome: I want all of my money back and I want to cancel this membership! For real this time!
EOS Fitness - water fitness/pool
I have been taking the water fit classes on Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday for the last 10 months. Up until just recently (within the last month), the classes have exploded to over 35 people in each class when the website for enrolling in the class clearly states the max is 25 people. I have noticed that quite a few of the members who take these classes don't always have the printed tickets, and I was also guilty of this when I first joined last October. No one explained to me that it was necessary to get a ticket even if you enrolled online: I was just told that I could enroll online and nothing was mentioned that I always needed a ticket, too.
These classes are on overload with that many people in the pool: the classes can get vigorous and there is not enough room to spread out for the exercises that require full extension of your body. If the classes are this big, there should be added classes so that each class can accommodate the right amount of people to exercise safely and comfortably . I actually enjoy these classes and really like the instructors, but it is becoming non productive if I cannot exercise freely without concern for kicking or injuring someone else, and I have had to curtail my class today due to the amount of people in the pool. I also spoke to the assistant manager, Daniel, after leaving early today and they are aware of the problem, but state they cannot add classes until the beginning of a month and it is too late this month. They have known about the problem for over a month already, so I am asking why new classes were not added for this month, and will it be the same story next month? I would really be unhappy if I had no choice but to stop coming to this class. This is the exercise that my doctor prescribed for me due to heart and kidney failure, and it has helped me immensely after being home bound after a long stay in the hospital.
