1. On March 12, 2024, I went to the gym to sign up as Silver Sneakers. Surprisingly, I was told that to join I had to pay a membership fee of $20 and then pay $10/month. Normally, Silver Sneakers is free to seniors.
2. Then a salesman came to me and strong-armed me into signing a PT/ Coaching contract which would cost me $563.99. He would not take no for an answer even though I told him it was not for me. I went home and thought about it. I decided that at my age I would not want this type of training.
3. Within the 3-day cancellation period, on March15, 2024 I sent member services an email (as shown on the contract) telling them that I wanted to cancel. I got an acknowledgement letter.
4. As I'm looking at my statement, I see that you, EOS, have taken the following from my account as an unauthorized transaction since this was cancelled by me on time. Because of the failure of your company to handle these requests, I am demanding a REFUND of all monies taken on this account.
5. I have written to Dirrell Ross, the manager at EOS Hudson, FL who said he would take care of this and yet nothing has been done to stop the withdrawals.
Claimed loss: Total obligation: $563.99 --- cancelled by me on March 15, 2024Unauthorized withdrawals: March 27 - $68 and April 1 - $68 = $136
Desired outcome: REFUND to me the $136 taken and STOP any future funds from being withdrawn from my account.
