Employees rude and they don’t treat black people good i whitenesed it with several customers. Advance Auto parts down the block is way cleaner and has friendly staff! I asked the young Latino employee why he was so rude he replied “I’m tired” he called other Auto zone on 174 St to check fir the $89.99 battery it was 9:19PM and online it said they closed at 10PM! I would like a free battery and whatever other options
Claimed loss: Young Spanish guy with a curly Afro. Later I found out the store on Tremont had the $89.99 battery ! black male came in trying to get a refund he gave him a hard time too Check the cameras
Desired outcome: Price of battery same as online he said other store that closed at 10PM like his store he called and 920 and they said they were closed early , what a shame

The Pep Boys - Service
I went to pep boys at Tremont Ave in the Bronx today 12/15/2001 about 1:30 pm to shop for a battery for my car. I was told I had to go to service. first, there was only one guy and he was on a conference call so I had to wait. then finally a guy named andy asked me what I was there for I told him I wanted to buy a battery he responded to stand aside and wait. I stood waiting until finally, the other guy finished his call then asked me for my phone number and license plate I went outside to make sure I had the right license plate number I returned less than 40 seconds and he was gone. Finally, Andy asked me for my car make and model told me the car battery had to be inspected before I could buy a battery. he never asked for my license number just make and model and took my keys to do the inspection. I thought he would handle it, by the way, he expressed the inspection, it would be rather quickly. he told me to have a seat I chose to stand instead. after almost an hour I asked the other guy who had returned to the desk he said he would help me just to give him a minute. I had to ask him a second time and he said Andy would take care of it. after waiting again for about 20 minutes more I approach andy and asked him how much longer must I wait for an inspection of a battery. he said I told you it would be a minute. I said how much longer because obviously that's not a minute he said "1 to 2 hours". At that point, I asked for my keys back because it is terrible customer service to make someone think that you would be serviced in an appropriate amount of time. I had to wait over 10-15 minutes for my keys and left and went to Autozone I got a battery and within 20 minutes I was on my way. This experience was terrible made me feel that since I was a female I was cast aside. Your workers have no professionalism and I felt uncomfortable being lied to and better yet treated like a nuisance when I all needed was to buy a battery. I suggest you provide customer service training and treat all customers equally with dignity truthfulness and respect regardless of Gender.
