On Thursday, December 20, 2018 I was waiting for the B9 bus at Flatbush Avenue and Avenue S at approximately 10:am. I saw the bus and stood at the curb. The light was red and five cars were ahead of the bus. I saw the doors open but the bus was in the middle of the street and it was at the entrance to the Rite Aid parking lot. When the light changed green I waved for the bus and the driver flung his arms up and was clearly annoyed. I got on the bus in the middle of the street. He did not pull into the stop. The bus number was 483. I told him I was so sorry to inconvenience him. I am a senior who had a stroke and lost most of my vision in my left eye and have difficulty walking. Maybe I don't show my illness but whether or not he made me feel very disgusted that he treated any person with such disregard. I never knew that it is alright to let people walk to the bus instead of being picked up. Very dangerous. I have used public transportation my whole live. I feel the service is getting worse. Needless to say, as a woman, I am very disgusted. I hope you look into this matter so that another person doesn't have to feel they annoyed a public servant.
