Dunn Tire - Excessive time to have service completed.

On Saturday, May 20, 2023 I stopped in the Jefferson Rd., Market Place, Rochester NY store near Marketplace Mall. I asked to have four tires put on. I own a Ford F-150 4 wheel drive truck and wanted regular highway tires, radiator and transmission flush. They tried to upsell me on more expensive all-terrain tires and had no highway truck tires available in the store. They asked several times if I wanted the all-terrain tires, each time I said I wanted highway tires only. I asked for highway tires, radiator flush, transmission flush and they quoted me a price for everything. I made an appointment for May 23, 2023, 10 am and was on time. Given the transmission/ radiator flush it could take just over two hours.

Roughly one hour into the service a desk person said I needed to replace ALL my hub lugnuts for charge of $95.52; it would not take any longer... he mentioned that Ford often made weak, poor quality lugnuts; they were hard to take off. At same time I was told ONLY a Ford Dealer could do a transmission flush (why not tell me that upfront?). I thought, at least I might get this work today completed earlier. It appeared mechanics were taking long time to change my tires. Roughly 75 minutes into the work my truck was switched to opposite side lift. Other vehicles came, had all four tires switched. and left. For awhile my vehicle was one of only two in garage. Two hours of waiting, I noticed all four tires off the truck. I asked people at counter what was going on, they went back to talk with them for several minutes, did not offer an answer. I asked again and they said "I honestly do not know?"

Why not tell me what was happening? No apology given to me when the work was finally completed. It would have been helpful, be honest... just be honest and open to issue and communicate to customer. Saying, sorry for the wait would help too.

I am not going back.

Desired outcome: For the owner to read this and make necessary corrections. To have customers consider other options nearby that have more inventory and possibly better service.
