I brought my 11 year old daughter in to north Utica well now in Utica New York on 8/1/2023 at approximately 6:20pm. I was told she can not be seen because they do not take walk ins after 6pm. They close at 8pm and they did not have any other patients waiting. I understand there may be appointments coming in but while present it was not busy at the moment. Patients mom asked if her daughter could be swabbed and checked for strep, flu, covid and be evaluated. Refusal of service. Patients mom then asked if other well bows in the area take walk ins and she said she does not know. Patients mom said she will call and left in a friendly respectful manner. Patients mom called wellnow in new Hartford and she asked about walk ins and they told her yes. Patient was seen and swabbed and evaluated. Staff was friendly and staff mentioned that the north Utica Genesee street has been constantly refusing treatment after 6 pm unless an appointment is made. This site needs to be retrained on policy, procedure and customer service communication and company representation.
Desired outcome: this location needs to be retrained on policy, procedure, customer service, communication and company representation.
