For 7 plus years Save a lot has been my grocery store of choice. I am now 68 years old. My routine is to ride my bicycle when traffic has slowed between 9:30-10:30 am. About every 3 months or so while checking out with a debit card I would request cash back with no problems.
Today was very different. It was 20 degrees and some of the side streets were packed down snow. I went through the normal process of using my debit card and requested cash back. I was then informed by the cashier that the register had no cash, and I could either wait or come back later. I then got the managers attention and he immediately had a very negative attitude. I asked the manager twice point blank, is this your new policy not to have cash back in the morning. He refused to answer or discuss it. I then asked the cashier to electronically reimburse my debit card. She said I can't. I then turned to the next customer and asked him to be my witness, a Mr. Dan Sharp [protected]. I started to put my goods in the back pack. The manager walks up and hands me 50 one dollar bills.

Why was I put through this ? This all could have been avoided. Cash back is now. No waiting or later to it. If there is no cash back then do not debit my account.
I notice many bad points about this store. It is a revolving door of employees. Selling trends of goods seems to be ignored. Something you buy regularly isn't on the self. Products that you had consistently bought disappear for good. The manager has a negative attitude.
