At approximately 12am on 25APR2022, I purchased a carton of Marlboro Ultra Light Menthol cigarettes and two small Reses cups from 7-11 located at 2410 Antelope Road. I paid with a credit card ending in 2886 ($95.00) and also entered my phone number for reward points. Cashier asked if I wanted a receipt and I said no. When I got home and opened the first pack, I realized I had been given the wrong item; they were not Ultra Lights.
I returned to the store between 1130-1200pm and asked that I be allowed to exchange for the correct item. Cashier checked the security feed and indeed saw that I came to the store as I had said. He stated he called his boss and was basically told nothing could be done; they could not exchange as they could not resell the cigarettes I had purchased. I left the cigarettes with the store asking that they be disposed of as I could not smoke them and apparently they could not resell them.
The security feed shows me making the purchase and requesting ultra lights. I may not have a reciept but I do have the statement on my online account, the store will have a record of my card being charged as well as my member number being entered for points. This is not a food item, and even if it were, most grocery stores would honor such a mistake. I know of no law, policy or regulation that states such as I was informed.
Desired outcome: Please refund the money for the 9 packs of cigarettes left with the store today or exchange for the correct make/brand. I would like a response.[protected]@juno.com
