We ordered an entry door and all new windows, including a bow window and a garden window, in November of 2018, with the understanding that they would not be installed until May / June of 2019. We've had several major issues with the installation of our new windows and door.
When discussing the agreement, we were under the impression that new interior casing was included. When the new windows were installed, we were then informed that new interior casing was not included. Apparently, this was a big miscommunication. Being unable to come to a mutually satisfactory resolution, we reluctantly agreed to order new interior casing from Window World. That was several weeks ago, and we still have not received it.
The installation occurred on May 21, 2019 . At that time we were told that the window casing was not on hand to finish the garden window. We then waited at least four weeks for that casing to be installed. During our wait period of 4 weeks we noticed the shoddy work on the door trim and caulking around the new windows. The local owner 'Chad' agreed to correct those issues when the sub-contractor came to install the casing.
Over the July 4th holiday, while showing friends the new windows, we noticed the windows were missing a "seal" on the bottom. There was also water laying in the window where it should normally drain. Although there is a port to drain water, there is a seam that is higher than the drain port. This seam exists on all the windows which is nothing short of poor manufacturing. Another call will be made to the local 'franchised company' after the holiday weekend in hopes these problems will be remedied.
This window and door replacement project is still not complete to our satisfaction, and it has been seven weeks from the beginning of installation.
