When to buy new home cordless phone today. Found my item to buy, brought to checkout.. One person being waited on in front of me. When my turn came up, walked to sales/checkout girl to ring up item. Used a old gift card and then used my credit care to complete purchase. Put credit card into machine, I ask her if I should hit green button for credit, she said yes, I did and I waited. Nothing, a told her it wasn`t working, as she was texting on her personal phone. After a second time telling her it wasn`t working she turned the machine around and pushed a button to make it work. I said if you were not using your phone you should have been helping the customer. She said she was using it for store business. Purchase was complete, she bagged my item and that was it. Not thank you for shopping here, no have a nice day, no nothing.. I said I wanted to speak to manager. There were to men doing something on another computer next to her. I ask one to come over, told him his employee was rude to me, he sad he wasn`t the mgr. The other one was, but he never came over, was too busy doing something else. I just left after than, cause no one seamed to came what I was saying. I worked 35+ years in the retail business and customer satisfaction was always # 1 for us and for me. I just thought she would have been a little more caring about my purchase and wasn1t using her phone, no matter what she was doing. She could have waited, it wasn`t like there where lots of people waiting to be helped, she would have had time the minute after I left store. Cell phones are becoming a real problem, people are using them every minute of every day. No one knows how to interact with the outside world or be friendly with other people.. Thanks
Desired outcome: not looking for anything for my horrible experience today, just need to have your employees be nicer to ANY customers that spend their money in the stores.
Best Buy - purchase of batteries
I purchased a 3 pack set of batteries today and the check-out person made a cryptic comment about me being a "big spender". I do not like being insulted at a check - out desk by anyone. A customer is a customer and should be treated with respect.
