Fitness 19

This complaint is directed at a specific Fitness19 facility; the one located in McIntyre Square, Mcknight Road in Ross Township PA. Joined this club due to its convenient location, low cost and mix of free weights for myself and machines & cardio equipment for my wife and daughter... unfortunately this turned out to be a very poorly considered combination and layout. First the memberships to this rather small facility are grossly oversold and gaining access to the equipment at anything other than the oddest hours is virtually impossible. Even when the place isn't packed to the rafters there are two groups of meat-heads who've taken over the free weights virtually blocking access to it night and day by lounging on the equipment for hours each day, listening to music on their portables and socializing with their miscreant friends. They misuse and abuse the equipment when they do work out to the point that a substantial portion of it is usually unavailable and awaiting repair. The close proximity of the free weight to the other equipment has also allowed these roid-junkies to create a hostile atmosphere that no woman, girl and few men would find tolerable. They loudly and purposely discuss the physical appearance of the female patrons nearby, routinely insulting their weight, age, attributes etc, they use the most vulgar language imaginable to boast of their sexual exploits including those they've engaged in with club members to the point it's probably a police matter. Numerous complaints to the management by patrons have gone unaddressed as they seem content to let these guys run them out of business.
