Definitely had a very bad and rude experience today after a personal trainer approached myself and my workout partner. He gave my workout partner a warning paper stating that training while in the gym was not allowed. Myself and my workout partner were appalled because no where did it look like my workout partner was training me or had been. After going to speaking with the manager it was stated that there were several statements given that my workout partner was training multiple people in the gym. I understand that personal trainers are available for all members to use at their discretion. But to make assumptions about someone training someone or multiple people is wrong. No one should never assume. And where is the proof that my workout partner was training me? When asked what proof was given there was only statements of it was brought to their attention that my workout partner was training myself and other people. The way the situation was handled was wrong. And when the personal trainer saw myself and my workout partner pass by there were comments made to the client that was working with the personal trainer as well. How rude? What should have been said was something then if it felt like something was wrong or if it seemed as though my workout partner was training me. Why not ask instead of making assumptions. When you make assumptions you make an [censored] out of yourself. I was considering working with one of the trainers at this particular gym but after this incident I WILL NOT. Very tempted to cancel my membership and transfer to Anderson SC Where I live. I got a membership at this gym bc I work in the area and it is convenient. But again, after this situation I do not like how my workout partner was treated today and how he was approached while we were working out. HOW RUDE AGAIN! If we are going to assume and stop members for thinking they are training someone please be sure to HAVE PROOF and not just he say she say. And you shouldn’t be making side remarks to other members of the gym either. Where is the professionalism?
Desired outcome: Nothing. Train employees on professionalism!

I have addressed loud music by trainers on multiple occasions. I have even sent emails to the general manager with no response. So i reached out to the local corporate and never received a call back. Why aren't the trainers held to the same standards as the gym members? The trainers should be leading by example, not walking around with a mini speaker playing rap music that i can hear 50 feet away. I also reached out to the local corporate folks about all the hobos begging for money and looking in folks cars and never a returned call. I love this gym, the front desk folks are always awesome. They are always professional, kind, hard working, respectful, etc. I just don't understand why a few of the trainers think they own the place and they don't have to respect the people around them. Without the gym members the trainers wouldn't be getting paid. We should all respect each other, pick up after ourselves, wear head phones if we want to listen to different music not walk around with a speaker, clean equipment after each use, share equipment during rest periods, support each other on our journey to be better. The trainer also decide to stare me down the entire time which is real respectful. As for corporate you would think being a new gym they would follow up with ever compliant. Sooner or later the money will start to dwindle if you don't take folks seriously. Every trainer, gym employee and corporate employee benefit from the revenue each gym member pays. So you would think they would all be appreciative and take concerns and complaints serious. I really hope management starts holding the employees to the same standard that gym members are held to. I also hope management starts reaching out to people who call about getting harassed in the parking lot by hobos. As gym members lets hold each other accountable. We are all in this together, rather it be for fitness goals, mental health or overall good health. Lets all respect each other, rack our weights when are are done, wear headphones if you want to listen to music, clean equipment when finish, if someone wants to work in let them, speak to each other in passing, be supportive of each other and speak up when something is wrong. LETS BE A FAMILY! Okay my rant is over and i hope it makes a difference. I am sure some folks will take this the wrong way. That is okay, hopefully after they cool off they will look in the mirror and think about how there actions and decisions affect others. The bigger picture is always the best approach because you look at things with more than one set of eyes. BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE!
