I received a text message from the pharmacy saying my prescription was pending through my insurance company so I called the pharmacy to see if my prescription was filled. The lady that answered the phone told me that my insurance company denied it and they sent a form to my Doctor as to why I needed this medication . I told her I did not understand why they would deny my prescription. Her answer was it was the insurance company and that was all she knew. At that point I was aggravated because for the last year we have had numerous problems with CVS, so I said I would pick up my prescription and take it to Walmart . I then called my insurance company and after being transferred three times only to find out the problem was CVS, they were entering my medication for 60 pills to be taken twice a day instead for 30 pills taken once a day as it was written by the doctor. After all of this I call back to CVS spoke to the same rude lady and asked her why were they trying to fill a 30 day prescription to be taken once a day to 60 taken twice a day. Then she said it was because CVS did not have 30 mg only 15 so they were trying to double it, I asked why did you not tell me this when I called because this would have been helpful information. Her answer was because I was aggravated and I did not give her a chance. That is the biggest bunch of crap I have ever heard! She is extremely rude and has been to myself and my husband many many times but today I had enough. You tell me my insurance company is denying it and you do not know why and you are very short and rude as usual . You had the time to tell me that but not that it was because CVS did not enter the prescription as written! I will never shop CVS pharmacy again. They used to be great but the turn over of employees is terrible and the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced ! You should have explained that to your customer from the beginning instead of saying it was the insurance company. NO CVS IT WAS YOU AND YOUR RUDE EMPLOYEE! If you do not have what they need what the prescription was written for then tell your customer just that don't change the way it was written and double the amount and never say anything. You should have said we are out of the 30 mg, however we do have 15 mg you could have your doctor change it or take it somewhere else if you would like but don't do whatever you wont with someone's medication!
Unethical !
