Food City

I'm diguisted, disappointed, and disheartened about how my husband was just treated at the Food City on 23rd Street in Chattanooga Tn. 37404. A few days ago my husband purchased Food City Brand brown and serve rolls two for $1.00. I went to warm my husbands dinner tonight and he wanted the 2nd pack of rolls he purchased with his dinner . Well my husband noticed that the rolls had molded and the buy by date said Jan .5 2019. Today is Jan 4. 2015, the package states that there is 100% Money back guarantee well all my husband wanted to do was get an exchange . Instead of honoring the guarantee the manger on duty then told my husband that those rolls had been marked down 4 days ago he purchased them on Saturday not even a week has gone by . My husband went back to the shelf to get a package for purchase he saw where all the rolls still had a buy by date of Jan . 5. 2019 and that none had been marked down . He went back and told the same manager that the rolls had the same date and had not been marked down then the manager tells him well where is your receiptreceipt. Honestly who keeps a receipt for a .50c pack of rolls . My husband only wanted exchange but instead of honoring the guarantee and doing the right thing my husband was talked to and made to feel like he was a liar . This is the very reason I don't purchase anything from this location and I will continue to drive the 20 minutes to the Tennessee Ave location it makes no sense that a loyal customer that has shopped at that location weekly since he was a child and as an adult when it was Red Food Store well before we knew of Food City be treated as such . I just hope that this particular location gets retrained in customer service and how to treat customers .
