La Quinta Inns & Suites - Lost watch

La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Austin Capitol / Downtown, 1 night in Austin. May 7 - May 8

Forgot my watch at the hotel room. Called them many times, the front desk didn't help at all. after 8 hours of my check out and 24 calls, someone answered me and said that the housekeeping did not return anything and hang up on me. I know exactly where I left my watch, and they just took it without trying to return it.

On the other hand, bathroom had mold on ceiling of shower, the hotel overall needs a good updating, elevators were dirty too and the front desk was very nasty as well.

Desired outcome: I believe they will need to at least return my watch or the value of it.

La Quinta Inns & Suites - The rooms were filthy dirty, there was dirt on walls, floors and baseboards were thick with dust

I booked the room online. It appeared that I was booking through the official site. It must have redirected to hotelvalues.com where I booked my room for 3 nights at La Quinta Inn Austin Capitol. The rooms were filthy dirty, there was dirt on walls, floors and baseboards were thick with dust. Vents were thick with dust. Curtains were very dirty. My room smelled like a smokey bar despite it being a "nonsmoking" room. I even signed a form that I would not smoke in the room, only to find it reeked of cigarette smoke. I could not change my room after I got there because I was busy for two full days. I left the hotel before spending the third night there because it was so gross. A strange man who appeared to be homeless banged on our door repeatedly demanding to see a prior guest of the room. He did not leave until my son told him he was armed. There is absolutely horrible parking in the parking garage and the guest or residents (some of the people appear to live there) just park blocking other guests into their spots or preventing them from accessing a spot. For this lousy parking you will be charged $25 a day which is not part of the original booking (my quoted price was $68 a night). They do have valet service and that is another $25 a night. Imagine paying $50 a day to park at a dump. There was some sort of construction project going on at the hotel with a giant generator taking up a portion of the driveway and making tons of noise. Between that and the odor of my room I had a horrible migraine on what was to be my third night in the hotel. I just could not subject my kids or myself to another night in that nasty room. We even sprayed some air freshener but that room needs to be stripped to the bones. Better yet the whole hotel should be bulldozed. I was told homeless stayed there during a recent freeze and the hotel has not recovered yet from that. It looks like a homeless hotel but the dirt in carpet was so gross my 7 yr old's feet turned black b/c he walked around with no socks in the room. The bed skirt was so nasty and covered in dirt. We stayed in room 327. Gross! Our eyes burned and my son got nose bleeds from the smokey room. Someone was blasting Christmas music down the hall all night on our second night. The security person walking the property looked sketchy. We actually thought he/she was casing the place. The parking attendant harassed me when I parked in the 15-minute parking spot during the loading of my vehicle. My adult son is injured, and I am disabling disease so it takes us a bit to get our items loaded. Why does a hotel with horrible parking devote 4 spaces to temporary parking? I am certain that cars were parked in those spaces overnight.

Desired outcome: A partial refund. La Quinta has a certain quality standard. This hotel was not worth more than $35 a night, it is that disgusting.
