My husband checked in to the hotel at 4:30 on Dec 25 (Xmas) waiting for me to arrive from Cali from the airport. At 8:15 pm, I called to tell him my plane arrived. When he went to his truck to pick me up, it was gone. It had been parked in front under a light and by a security camera. The police were called and were told the video showed the truck was stolen at 5:30 and an employee was standing in front of the license plate of the car the thieves drove up in. The following day, the 26th, when WE CHECKED OUT, I was told there would be no charge for the stay. WE LEFT ON DECEMBER 26. Later I saw a charge on our AMEX for $120 which I disputed b/c we had been told we would not be charged. Today we were told by AMEX that the charge for $120 was for "our stay" of December 27. WE DID NOT STAY AT THE HOTEL DECEMBER 27. This is a fraudulent charge. When I called to talk to Patricia who had identified herself as the asst manager on December 26, I was told she is no longer employed there. Jessica told me there is nothing she could do. She said we had to take care of with AMEX and AMEX said we had to take care with La Quinta. Now we are being victimized twice. THIS IS A FRAUDULENT CHARGE. When I called to seek help from customer service, I was on hold for over 30 minutes before I had to hang up to go to a meeting. I shouldn't have to spend hours fixing this. Jennifer
