People that complain about the charges about H&R block i totally agree on that i think its to much for a return. But like they say you pay for what you get for H&R block will always be there when u need it, theres offices nationwide that says something. If you dont agree with the charges dont pay them go somewhere else, why pay it and come here and complain you paid such amount of money thats dumb. CPA's as well as H&R block employees have to take classes to re-certify themselves every year. The only differece between a CPA and a H&R employee is a CPA is an Accountant with a Degree not a Tax Proffesional with a degree an accountant. A H&R Block employee is all about taxes laws, new changes. they go more in depth than a CPA. Getting Fast Money at H&R Block and anywhere else you go to is a LOAN that has to be approved by the bank in order to get the money in 1-2 days if the bank does not approve you then your refund will have to wait 8-15 days. H&R block does not approve you its the bank and your credit they also take in consideration the years you been coming to H&R block. As every company H&R block employees make mistakes like anyother company like any other person but we make fewer mistakes then other tax companies thats why every where u go u will see and H&R block near YOU.

My husband and I went to H & R block and didnt even get a child care credit this year. Last year we got back almost $6000 and this year we got back only $1ooo. And we owe state $890 when we didnt owe anything last year. We used the same amount of exempts for our pay checks also. So H&R block seems like they are very decitful with their customers. My husband and I are looking for someone to amend are tax return to see what they did to us.

i have been using h&r block.com for years to file my taxes. since relocating to a city where an office was available, i thought why not? and brought my w2 down to the local office for filing...mind you i am a single mother and i work full time and earn my money honestly, been with the same company here for almost a year and only worked for them for all of 2008...i went to the office, hopefull of getting my return rapidly after the R A L being pushed at me. i spent two weeks calling and getting the same rude C R personell and no answers, before i actually came into the office and had to throw a fit to get ANY ANSWERS! i was told i would have to call HSBC bank wich i did and got 5 different answers as to what happened to my money...the first being there was a fraud alert put on my claim...the second was an address mismatch, the third being a credit report issue, and the fourth was that my identity could not be verified, and the fifth one which i recieved in the mail was that they could not verify my EMPLOYMENT! here it is 4 weeks after filing my taxes and NO ONE will give me a straight answer and i am being forced to call the IRS on monday to get my money...needless to say i truly believe that i have been scammed as have many other people and the HSBC bank and H&R Block should be shut down and investigated for fraud...i am still looking for my over $5000.00 tax return in the mail that i should have had a month ago

You know I feel that these people are very disturbed with their own life so they are trying to make a major company that has been in business since 1955 look bad. But the sad thing is there could be so many reason these things have happened and do you honestly going to admit the truth. (doubt it) I am sure they wanted certain credits that they were not elgible for so it made them unhappy and decided to take their tax info somewhere else and lie through the tax interview nthe second time to get a better tax break. We all know that if they had a debt they sure in the heck wouldnt post that on this page. NO, that wouldnt look good so lets just tell a one sided story and make someone else look bad. You guys are really mature and big people get a life. Tell the whole thing or dont post garbage.

On 1/23/09 H&R block told me they will have my money directly deposited to my account within 8-15 days. I still don’t have the money and it 2/14. When ever I called them they would tell me it the IRS or it your bank or our bank has to approve something, none sense because I didn't apply to take loan from them. I called the IRS and they said they sent the money on 2/8, and my bank has no trace of that either.

I believe HSBC is just using my/everyone's money for a week without paying any interest. Question is how much is H&R block getting from HSBC for this thievery, it better be worth it for them because they have lost my business forever.
I paid $150+ to file with them. I found out that I would get more than twice the refund they promise had I gone to two other sources. I feel so stupid.

I am so upset rigth now, my HR Block preparer screwed up so badly that now someone else is walking around $13, 000 richer and I am struggling with trying to figure out who got my money. I keep getting the run around from HR Block and HSBC bank and I'm done with the BS. I'm going to get leagal advice and I'm taking legal action so they can no longer STEAL innocent people's money!

H and R Block are horrible! Last time myself and my husband used them, albiet a few yaers ago they charged us $450.00 and gve us a refund. the next year I went t a CPA and had them not only recheck H and R's calculations, but do our current years taxes. We owed $1, 200 to the IRS that H and R block messed up on. I will NEVER use them again, they don't know what they are doing. W ahve been using the same CPA for 4 yaers now and we love her! Our taxes cost us $85 to file w-2's and 1099's.
