Pizza Hut - crooked delivery driver

I ordered a meal deal online, after 45 minutes, I called to confirm that the delivery would take place- An employee confirmed, and 10 minutes later, the delivery driver arrived. My order amount was $31.39, I gave the driver one 20 dollar bill, two 5's, and four quarters...to the best of my knowledge, that equals to $32. After I gave the money, the delivery driver left... all is well. After about 15 minutes, the store called and professed that I only gave the driver 4 quarters, that is absurd! There was a supposed "general manager" that called after the initial call back to me, to inform me that the POLICE would be at my home, because I did not pay for my pizza...

To make a long story short, the police thought that it was ludicrous, I think that it is ludicrous, and the delivery driver is a thief! After the police left, I called the store back to get the names of not only the delivery driver, but the so called "general manager" that had called me only 10 minutes prior to the police coming to my house...and guess what, no one knew who the manager was, or the person who had delivered my food! They claimed that the only manager there was a woman, I had clearly spoken with a man, and the manager who DID get on the phone, would not even tell me her first name or the name of the driver. This is a nightmare... all I and my family wanted to do after a long day was to eat some pizza for dinner...It turned out to be a nightmare...over $30 that a thieving employee did not report. I am glad I did not give them my credit card information, or I might have really been in for it!

CLARIFICATION:

In all the hustle of last night, I mentioned 4 instead of 8 quarters...the gratuity was INCLUDED in the total...my true order was $28 and change, adding the gratuity made it $31. I would never try to cheat a delivery person, not as much as my husband and son LOVES Pizza Hut! Again, I gave the correct amount, it was unfortunate that it had to happen this way. By the way, this morning, a manager called me to apologize for the confusion. I will find another location to do business with. The manager still would not proveide me with the name of the driver.

This is the most unprofessional establishment I have ever encountered.

I will never order there again, I placed an order online and they told me it would be an hour, so after waiting about an hour n half I called, and it was about 10:30 pm, and they close at 11, they kept telling me it was coming, a girl even have me a code to give to the driver when he gets there to get it free, so after waiting I called again and a guy answers, cuts me off and I get pissed, we argue, he told me they had came to my door and got no answer, LIE!..so he hung up on me, everytime I called back he would hang up, so never got food, my kids were starving, had to go out and get food at that time of night, so I called customer service the next day, I was told that a manager would contact me, after waiting almost a week, never got a call, so I called back, they told me the same thing, never got a call, so I called the store and asked for the manager, they told me he was off and gave me his cell, I called him and explained what happened, he told me it was his day off and I would have to call back the next day, and that was all I got from him...i gave up, ...this was the worst service I've ever had, and I would never recommend a dog to eat there, they just lost a good customer, and still until this day I haven't heard from them..ridiculous!

This Location has REALLY gone down hill. It use to be pretty good. The last time I dealt with this Pizza hut I had placed an order online 30 minutes before I showed up to pick it up. When I arrived I was told that my pizza was just then being prepared. As I looked back the man preparing my pizza has his pants down to his knees. I sit down to wait. While I am waiting at least 4 calls are completely ignored. Shortly after a girl walked into eating a popsicle, goes around the counter. Apparently she works there. While she's eating her popsicle calls are continued to be ignored. When she finally answers a call it is clear the person is asking for a manager due to their calls being ignored, the girl insisted the manager is not there. I continue to wait while listening to the employees yelling and cussing. Finally, I see the man who was preparing my pizza, EATING pizza. He had not washed his hands once, his pants are down to his knees, he's eating and touching my food without gloves?! DISGUSTING! I asked to cancel my order and magically the manager is now. (Even though the girl told the person on the phone that the manager was not) The manager comes up in a trench coat and dark sunglasses. Looks like she's high. And the only thing she is concerned about, getting me out of there. "Did you pay for it already? No? Ok, bye." I asked for the franchisee's number and she gave me the survey number on the back of their receipt. There are PLENTY of great pizza places around, Papa Johns, Dominos and mom and pop places. I suggest you avoid this place at all cost, even if that means driving an extra 5 minutes. There is a Food lion beside them, even a store brought oven cooked pizza will be much better.
