On Tuesday, July 14, 2022, we went to see a movie at 7pm. The unapologetic staff informed us that they did not have popcorn, they did not have pretzels, they did not have a working icee machine, most of the soda machines were not stocked and judging by the filthy floors, they did not have vacuums or brooms. The entire facility was dirty and sticky with over flowing trash cans. This is not the first time this has happened. On top of all of that, the staff is unpleasant.
Desired outcome: Clean the place up, get the basic concessions, train the staff

My family and I went to go watch encanto (a disney film), and at 5:15pm (which is when our movie was supposed to start), there was cleaning still occurring at the theater. So far that is okay, we understand that there are inconveniences. At around 5:25pm, we are able to enter the movie theater and find out seats. We wait 30 minutes and there are no ads playing or anything playing for that matter. We go and let one of the staff know, and they start up the ads. At around 6:30pm, the movie finally starts, but this time it is sing2. A movie that we did not come to see. We go outside yet again, and explain how the movie is not what we were interested in watching. Again, it is okay that there are inconveniences. We just wanted a refund as we waited 1.5 hours to watch our movie. The staff explains that encanto is not going to be shown today as there was some fire alarm that happened earlier that morning. They could have informed us this way before our movie started, but there was no discussion. That is when this manager, latonya ricks, comes. She stomps in front of the staff member, and starts to talk at the top of her lungs. "it is not being played today". We were standing there, and getting our refunds processed, and when a question was asked "so all three tickets have been refunded? Can I get all three receipts?" she goes ahead, snatches the tickets, and talks extremely loud "you bought two tickets on one transaction, and another ticket on another transaction, so you have three... Next". There was no one behind us. Then we got our receipts, and one of our members of our party started to explain to her that "you are being very rude, and showing lots of attitude". This manager of a [censored], starts to blow us air kisses, and starts to yell at us. She goes "mwah mwah" basically trying to shoo us away. She then starts to yell, and start fights, which is very unlike a manager. Anyways, my sister left her water bottle in the theater, and as she is going back to retrieve it, this manager chases after us and starts yelling at us. I have never met another manager like this, and she is highly disrespectful. I will never step foot in this theater again, and I will continue to shame this manager and her problems to my friends and family. I will continue to tell my friends and family to not enter or step foot in this theater. She is not worthy of being a manager, and is extremely rude to her employees, and to the guests. She even yelled at the person in front of us, and the staff member that was giving us a refund. She is an extreme issue to the amc company. Latonya ricks is a complete issue to the detriment of this amc business, and since she is a manager, only corporate can deal with this issue. Amc would be way better without her as a manager, there are so many issues such as time, talking to employees, and talking to guests that make an experience good or bad. She has ruined amc period. I asked a staff member at amc what the manager's name is, and they responded with "latonya ricks".
Throughout this whole experience, me and my family were completely normal and just going to get a refund and go home to enjoy our christmas eve. However, this latonya ricks lady started to act like an unethical disrespectful manager acting like she was owning the place and blowing us air kisses. She does not know how to handle stress, even though this theater is completely empty since it is christmas eve. Who knows how she deals with extreme stress on days when there are many customers. She started to talk disrespectful and rude and chasing after us when we are telling her that she is rude and disrespectful. I have never seen a manager like this which is why I do not think that she is fit for a managerial post. I have talked to many managers, all keep a very respectful appearance and know how to handle situations and stress. She doesn't even know how to talk to her own staff members, and how to talk to guests.
I hope that she will be apprehended, and will learn soon how to behave and speak to customers and staff. Honestly, I would have fired her as she does not seem fit for that high of a position.
The picture below shows that it was 6:30pm when sing2 started to be shown, however, we were there for a 5:15pm show of encanto.
Desired outcome: Fired. Taught how to behave and speak with customers and guests. Fired. Demoted. Basically

I work at that AMC and you know what? That was unacceptable behavior by Latonya. But I know Latonya well. Unless you are being rude or delaying her from helping another customer, she is a very kind person. She got you your refund, correct? And also, Christmas Eve and Christmas is a very busy and stressful time for everyone there. A full theatre had to get refunds for a broken projector just yesterday, ad she dealt with all of them in a fast, kind, an efficient manager. Learn to chill and be a good customer. You people don't just leave waters for us to clean up. You dump full sodas and large popcorns, leave mountains of trash and then have the nerve to complain? Maybe you in particular didn't leave trash, but you have to understand the rudeness of other customers, and the fact we are a low budget AMC working with 90% minors. Literally have our workforce is under 16. Really, you spent all this time to complain about someone you have no idea about? Get a life. I really am sorry for the inconvenience. I hope it was made up to you. Please be nice to customer relations folks. A lot of us are young with a lot going on. Hopefully you go to watch Encanto at home.
