Rooms to go delivery drivers arrived to my home on extremely rainy day, 13 Feb 2020, to delivery a bed and dresser. The drivers did not have a second pair of shoes or blankets to dry off their shoes before walking on my hardwood floors. The dispatch team was unapologetic and stated the drivers do not have to carry blanket to lie down. I had to refuse the delivery because I did not want driversn walk on my hardwood floor with wet feet and have an accident that I have to file on my homeowner's insurance.
Rooms to go needs to clarify the policy of what they expect drivers to have (blankets, extra shoes) and what they want customers to provide. If customers are to provide blankets for drivers so their floors or blankets are not getting dirty, I highly recommend that be articulated BEFORE one completes the purchase and be taken into consideration when charging for delivery and set up.
In addition, recommend Rooms-To-Go hire friendly and helpful personnel to answer the phone when calling the corporate office and give these personnel the authority to refund delivery fees or other costs to "right a wrong". It goes against common sense to have rude personnel answering the phone for the corporate office of a business when clearly a customer calls corporate to resolve an issue/concern. The lady I spoke to today when I called Rooms-To-Go corporate office acted like I was bothering her or keeping her from something important.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
