8/7 I called because Webroot said I know longer had service with them. This was the second time the note came up but I ignored it the first time because I new I had renewed thru Best Buy in May when I paid my service contract.
May 2021 I paid Best Buy $185.81 and the clerk assured me Webroot was included. I verify every year that it is included as I don't use any other security on my machine.
on 8/7 I called the technical number and was put thru and told "The problem was mine and I could pay Best Buy another $49 if I wanted Webroot". I ask for a manager and was put on hold. After 37 minutes I was disconnected and could not get back on the line with the technicians so here I am.
On 8/7 I renewed thru Webroot since Best Buy would not help me and it cost me $53.58.
Why bother with Best Buy technical service for a service I may not even use all year, to be lied to and told the problem is mine when I did everything right.
I have had Best Buy technical services for several years and I have always enjoyed the service I got from Best Buy when I have a computer problem but there are a lot of other places I can go. In the past I have recommended you to several of my friends. This is something I will have to rethink if this is the way you treat customers.
Desired outcome: I would like a refund of $53.58 which I just paid out to Webroot for a service I also paid Best Buy for.
