I signed a contract last year however due to the virus we postponed our wedding for June 19, 2021. Our Sales Manger was Natasha Batton. Before I proceed with my complaint I want to let you know of the steps taken prior to filing this complaint. On the morning of June 20, 2021
I was eating breakfast and a young lady from the front desk approached us (my husband and me) and asked us about the services. We told her how we felt, as we were talking she was taking notes on her phone. She said she was taking notes to then address these concerns to Natasha Batton, Sales Manager and that she would be contacting us. As of July 5, 2021 no one had contacted us, so I proceeded to email Natasha. She responded on July 7. but I was not able to email her back right away. My husband had been admitted to the hospital and he had doctors appointments. On July 12, I emailed her again. As of today no response from her.
Following is my complaint:
* The room I was given was no where close to the room we were shown when we did the venue. I was moved to another room the day of the wedding. This was a corporate meeting room.
*The head table was not set up with silverware, napkins and charger plates. I had to get up and have someone bring silverware, napkins etc.
*People were complaining food was not warm. Guests were not invited for seconds, nor were they informed of where the coffee, tea or water was.
*I did not eat that night but the Best Man and Matron of honor told me the food was nothing compared to what they tasted at the menu tasting day.
*The dance floor could have been a liability issue that evening. My heels got stuck between the cracks and almost fell. The same thing happened to other guests.
*Guest were charged for beer and wine. Our package included these two items. They were being charged right after dinner.
* I do not know who this lady is, but she definitely made my life miserable that evening. As I was giving out the favors she stopped us right in front of one of the guest tables with a very rude attitude and told us we could not give the favors out because they were small alcohol bottles. from my very first meeting I explained to Karen (previous manager) and it was approved. When we told her we were authorized to hand them out as long as guests did not open them. In addition I sealed them with heat glue. When we told her we were authorized she said you have to stop handing them out and I will be back with a response. As of today she never came back to apologize or give us a response.
* An incident occurred with a guest. They bought drinks and had them on the table. They got up to dance. When they returned to their table their drinks were taken away. He got upset and insulted the employee, which I told him he was wrong for doing that. The employee was also wrong for removing the drinks. Guests should be asked first if they are done. That is the experience I have had at other weddings/ activities I have been to. During this incident is when I saw this lady again. She was very nasty and rude towards me and threatened to call the police on my guest. That's when a guest heard her and saw her attitude towards me and told her the following:
"Mam this is her special night and you are stressing her so much. I will deal with whatever concerns you have for the remainder of the evening let her enjoy her night"
* I purchased 5 Kids dinners. One dinner was brought out 30 minutes late. The kids never ate their dinner.
It is shameful that we had two couple checking the place for their wedding and very unfortunate they experienced and evidenced all of this.
Desired outcome: *I want to be reimbursed for kids dinners, wine and beer that.
