I was just checking my checking account and discovered 16.95 just deducted from my account. Don't know who this is or even how someone got my account number. Now I have to wait 3 days until bank opens again to try to get my money back. Anyone who reads this and other comments should always check on the charges in their checking account.

I received a letter in the mail for a $25.00 gift card. Went online and no such company. Subscriber #[protected]. The # to call1-[protected] if you don't have internet access. What a scam.

I also tried to get the $100 coupons and they sent back the card and said resend. ergo, no coupons, no $25 gift card. My one consolation is that there is no more money on my card, so they can't get any more from me. I am canceling my card right away. Why are there so many scams?

I recieved the same exact letter in the mail, about my free $25 gift card and I logged on to www. whatever and there wasn't anything telling me how to get my card. I can't believe that I allowed this to happen to me I 'm generally always so careful.Someone has to put a stop to this.

This is Dorita again,I've just talk to someone from the Value plus over the phone and they told me that they are sending the application for my $25 gift card in the mail, so therefore I take back what I just said. I guess I spoke to soon.

I have been charged $16.95 twice by this company. I called the no. [protected] today and the lady answering the phone was very rude. However, it seems to me that they know they cannot just charge me/us for service we never received. When I told her to cancel this membership and refund the amount to my account, she did not argue with me at all and told me, the refund is going to hit my account the next two days.

I could not access the web site they provided for the gift card. Had to call them and they said it would be sent by mail in approximately 10 weeks. After that long most people would forget about it and drop the matter. I changed my account information that I gave them and put in a dispute against them with the credit card complany. I was told that the bill would not be paid to them until I get my gift card.

Yep, I got scammed too it looks like. Money has been taken out of my account and I also tried to claim the $25 card and then cancel, but was unable to do so. The online link would not let my access it. Please tell me how to get my money back!

This is pretty bad and very dishonest. What a joke this is. No $25.00 gift card to be found and I hope they put the money back on my credit card or I will get my lawyer to take care of this matter!

I also was promised a $25.00 gift card. no such web site to claim my card. Luckly I read the comments and realized I've been had. I was able to reach someone at [protected] to cancel future monthly charges. I was told I would receive e-mail on my cancellation of this service. We'll see! I asked about web site --she was very nice and said she only takes calls for cancellations but she said she had many complaints about value plus.

RE: valueplusonline.com/open/form
I joined this membership and never received my $25 gift card. Will this complaint get something done about this or is this complaint just a survey/information type website?

I placed a call to Customer service, [protected], on February 11, 2008. I asked that my membership be cancelled and the service representative agreed to cancel as of this date. I would appreciate a followup on this action to make sure that the account has been terminated. Thank you for your help. As of this date I have not received bonus gifts or cash-back gas rebates. I just want this membership to be cancelled.

This company is a scam. they have charged me over and over I was told I would get a $25.00 walmart card and a $25 .00 gas card and I was also told that I would get a vacation pack for a low price of $9.95 for a subscription to a magazine that if I didn't want it I could cancel at anytime in the next few months. I've never received anything on that. I can't get anywhere with the web sight they gave me. They also said that they would charge my bank account 14.95 a month for one thing and 19.95 a month for another unless I cancel and I am not able to cancel it anywhere. This should be illegal and I wish there was something someone could do about it. I don't recommend anyone giving this company or any other company your credit card or bank card info... If they want you to pay them something for you to get something in return then its a SCAM and is not real... If anyone has any info on getting this resolved and getting your money back please let me know. Thanks

Same as everyone else(boy the crap we'll do for $25 @ Wally World)How would the world turn without Wal-Mart?Web adderess is junk but I did get an answer on my frist phone call she said that she had order my gift card and that it should be here in 7-10 days and she cancelled my membership so cross your fingers for me and maybe I won't be charged anything more and someday maybe I'll have a whole 25 bucks to spend a Wal-Mart. Good Luck with your cards.

All I have to say is, I tried to open the page to get my free gift and I end up on a complaint page. There is no way of claiming a prize. The site is a joke.

I also ordered the detox pads which i did recieved although i got on this same web page to claim my gift card, and along with everyone else, looks like im not going to get. They so far billed me once, i called and cancelled and nothing else has been taken out of my account. I am upset that they lied about the $25.00 gift card but im letting it go, but i would suggest someone calling the better business buero.

Totattly rediculous crap. I had to change my credit card number voiding out the current card to stop this nonsense. It is pathectic when people put their minds together to simply RIP people off. Go back under the rock where whoever you are came from!

I was convienced to try out the program to get $25 gift card. I didnt want the gift card they practically begged me to take it, so I agreed. Well if you take a persons info and address to mail info to where is the free no consequence gift card why should I have to fill out another form to get something you promised me if you alredy have all my info? To me they want to prolong to gift card to get at least half back because if you fill out the form for the card send it back it get processed them then send it to you. while all this processing going on they are charging you account before you recieve the card yes it is a scam because if its really free you should get the card when you get all the other info from the company. Scam and its a good since they got me. lucky for me I cancelled as soon as I got the letter and tried to log on and got nothing but negative comments about the company, so i called and the young lady said she have to mail in a form to me I told her to cancel it right away.

I also received a letter stating that I would receive a $25.00 Walmart Gift Card in a couple of weeks, but I received the letter shortly after I ordered 9-10 CD's from TimeLife Ultimate Rock Ballads.

I hope that TimeLife is not becoming a scamming artist...the company is WAY too big & well-known for many years.
I just want to know if I am going to receive my gift card like I was told on the phone & in the letter I received yesterday afternoon!

I had no idea what the charge on my cc of $16.95 was for until I did a google search for the [protected] number. I am not sure how I got in this scam as I did not sign up for any service or any rebate, cash back, rewards, or whatever kind of scam. I have purchased items online with my credit card and can only imagine that one of them automatically signed me up for this scam in the fine print somewhere. This seems to be the latest scams that are out there these days and so therefore I am not buying anything online or over the phone anymore. It has become just to much of a hassle. I will call the number now and demand a refund and I guess a cancellation of whatever scam deal this is. Thanks to everyone who posted on here to educate me a bit on why I was charged this money.
