rubbish car worse customer service
I have an ANTARA 2.0CDTI irmesher, it has been back for major repairs now 17 times since the day i bought it. It is now 18months old and still Vauxhall have refused the rejection letters and now are refusing to answer any calls from me. I have been very amicable and have worked closely with them to resolve the issues but now it has become a joke, one which they cant fix. The dealership just keeps resetting and replacing things on the vehicle and then days later the issue starts again. There was more than 1 problem issues including: total shutdown of the dash including speedos etc... the wrong dampers fitted causing the tyres to tear down to the metal and im still getting total shut down of the turbo which is needed to get the car over 20 MPH. Why cant they just replace the vehicle as bad build? its obvious they dont care for there customers and have no pride in there products.

recalled repairs
Had 2 visits to Perrys in the last couple of years. Latest one last week when I called in on the way to work as my battery light had come on, suspecting either an alternator or battery fault. I specifically told the service rep I was in a hurry and wanted a diagnosis and would book the car in at a later date. The rep mentioned my car had a handbrake recall and they would do this on the day for me. I explained I didn't have time and that too could be done at a later appointment. I had to wait an hour and a half, I thought to test the battery and alternator, however they hadn't touched that but simply did the handbrake recall, clearly as they are paid by Vauxhall for it. I t put me very late for work and the same fault remained. They quoted me £616 to change the alternator because it was a 'genuine' part. I had it done for £250 with the same genuine part. Prior to this I wanted a price to swap my carand they refused constantly asking 'how much can you afford to pay each month?', I tried explaining I would make a decision about how to finance the car after I had a price considering paying cash or visa etc., they sent me away without a quote stating they couldn't do anything for me unless I told them how much per month I could pay! They have done this twice to me in the last 2 years, needless to say I have never bought anything from them. Their service is terrible, all the care about is how much money they can squeese out of any sucker who walks in. Customer service is none existent!

awful company
I purchased a brand new Corsa in 05. It had several small things go wrong after the first year. In 08 the engine started to make a noise and as it was due a service I took it to my machanic, and asked for the noise to be investigated. The engine was discovered to have a fault with the timing chain, which had jumped aprox 90 degrees resulting in valve to piston damage. I took it to an independent garage for assessment as requested by the finance company G.M.A.C. They refused to accept this report, and have blamed the machanic I used for my car's, and myself for the problem. They told me the car has not been serviced or looked after which is not the case. I have looked after this car as I purched it for reliability and affordability as I do a lot of miles for my work. I have been forced to buy another car and have been black listed by G.M.A.C because I cannot afford to meet the full monthly amount to them! They took me to court to get the car back at a cost of £300 to me, even though I had signed an agreement for them to take the car, and even arranged a date for them to pick it up, but they did not turn up, resulting in me phoning them and being told to leave it with them. I still have the car, and have not heard from these people since my court date with arrangements for them to remove it. I did my home work and the 04 corsa's had the same problem as mine, and due to the fact that I know I took care of my 'pride and joy' I know that mine is a manufacturers fault, but they will not admit it!

just recently bought a 60 plate vauxhall corsa 1.3cdti eco flec s/start. The engine was very noisy so took it to a vauxhall dealer who after inspection said a new timing chain was needed. The car was under warranty so things seemed to be covered. The car has had all its services done at vauxhall main dealers but one of the services from the previous owner was 4000 miles over the date it should have been serviced so low and behold vauxhall warranty decided not to pay . There reason was simply that as the oil change was 4000 miles overdue and old oil was lubricating the chain instead of new oil in the opinion of the warrantee underwriters this is the reason the chain has sretched.
We tried to explain that, as the new owners, we would have it serviced at a vauxhall dealership and any other work that was needed to the vechile would be carried out with them but all this fell on deaf ears.We had a citreon before this and they could not have been more helpfull .So beware vauxhall warranty as its not worth the paper its written on
Agree entirely. First time I've used a main manufacturer and never again.
Like you they blame the customer although in my case it was a replace EGR value that they did and forgot to reset the computer switch if off, along with a fault EGR value. The EGR value has been done but they can't bring themselves to admit they made a mistake although they're the only people with the capability to update the cars computer!
So avoid Drive Vauxhall, Avon Street, Bristol.
shocking experience!
I purchased a brand new Corsa SXi 1.4 from Sherwoods, Stockton on Tees, Cleveland on 1/12/07. It is the worst car I have ever had re performance and design but I expected it to at least be reliable.
To date is has broken down completely on 3 separate occasions and the AA have been called for assistance. The second occasion it broke down in December 08 was 2 days after a 2 day full service. At that time they kept it for approximately 1 week - I was given a courtesy car on that occasion. The third occasionwas on 19 January 2009, a few weeks after the previous occasion, it broke down completely yet again. The car was towed by the AA to the Vauxhall garage in Northallerton and from there it was taken to Sherwoods at Darlington - I live in Yarm.
The following day I was told Sherwoods at Stockton on Tees had no courtesy cars. They couldn't repair the fault so I lost a days wages. Later that day they said I could have a rented car from Enterprise but I had to wait for someone to return a car later that day. I was asked to pay a £50 deposit which I would be returned when I returned the car. Then they advised me to pay £10 per day as an insurance against stratches etc to the car as if they found any damage I could end up paying a substantial amount so I felt I had no alternative but to agree to pay this. I was then informed they'd made a mistake and I only had to pay £5 a day.
It is now 22 February and my car has still not been returned to me. In the meantime, Sherwoods advised me to stop paying the £5 per day to the car rental company and owing to the length of time I've had the car, I stopped paying this amount as it was getting to expensive.
I have sent a complaint to Sherwoods at both Stockton and Darlington branch plus the Head Office of Vauxhall. I did eventually receive an acknowledgement of my complaint from Sherwoods at Darlington and a phone message from someone at Sherwoods at Darlington asking me to ring him and that they would try and resolve the matter. I rang the person concerned on 3 occasions but he hasn't had the courtesy to return my call re the complaint. My main grievance is that the car is totally unreliable and I've lost confidence in it altogether. I feel that I shouldn't have to incur expenses for an alternative vehicle when my own car has problems due to no fault of my own (up to now I've paid over £90 to Enterprise for the rented car which they debited direct from my credit card). It was only when I received my credit card bill that I noticed the amount which Enterprise had debited. It does mention in the small print on the agreement that they will do this, so advice to other people renting a car from Enterprise - read the small print.
The car was purchased at Sherwoods in Stockton and no one from the company has acknowledged my complaint. I feel the service is appalling. I am paying over £200 a month for my own car which has been off the road now for nearly 5 weeks and a full week prior to that. I feel that I certainly shouldn't have to pay anything for an alternative vehicle when the car is faulty.

repairs
my vauxhall meriva 1.7 cdti broke down on the 23 July would not start, i called my local garage who collected it they could not find out what was wrong, so they sent it to the local vauxhall dealer the above garage, they been the wright place to send it to did not get it back until 18 September, with a bill of £4000 as i see that there work shop did not know how to fix the problem .i would like to know why vauxhall did not help to pay for there fault in not knowing about problems with this car as it has only done aprox 25500 miles, new harness was fitted with i was told that vauxhall was having problems with these harness in this type of car but it was never replaced, i was told in the first place that this would cost between £2000- £2500 witch is a lot of different between the first figure and what i had to pay, they was not very good at tell me what was happening to the car in this time i am partly disable so i do not have that amount of money, witch i had to borrow from the bank,

I bought a Zafira 4 years ago and have regretted it ever since. Alternator went within 3 months. 3 weeks ago the whole thing blew up: water pump, alternator, cam belt, pistons, valves. You name it. Cost of £2500 for repairs. Do you think Vauxhall are interested or are prepared to accept any responsibility? Not at all. They are a disgrace .
i am putting in my third clutch with 40000 miles on clock vauxhall no help at all gormleys garage in omagh no help either i have to pay to find fault and then contact vauxhall for them to tell me flywheel isnt covered rubbish car and rubbish company to deal with i am brendan cooke and a very unhappy ex customer i will never buy vauxhall again

I bought a corsa from arnold clark in dundee in 2017 . It was recalled twice in the first 2 years for engine problems. Since that everything has gone wrong with the car. Its had a new heater cooling system gear box broke suspension went water pump was the latest thing and the mechanic has told me I need a new engine the car cannot go down the street without the water bubbling up. I wrote to vauxhall amd they said because it is over 5 years old they cant do anything . If i new this before i would have taken it back long before now. Is there anything i can do to get this sorted.
