I am a medical assistant and need to call doctor’s offices throughout the day. Associates in Family Medicine in Fort Collins, CO was bought by Village Medical. Not only did they discontinue the partnership with the best hospital system in Northern Colorado, making use of our phone application no longer linked, they have another application that does not have my historical medical records pulled over. As a patient and someone who needs to call them on a regular basis, the call center in Texas is the worst I have ever had the displeasure to deal with. These workers do not know medicine at all, they don’t know how to use the EMR system or the legacy system. They won’t transfer me to the practice without asking me 5-10 minutes worth of questions then put me on hold for extended periods of time. It would take me 1-2 minutes to speak to someone directly at the practice. An absolutely horrendous experience both personally and professionally. I am dropping them as my primary care and discouraging my patients from using the in the future ONLY because of the call center. If I call on the provider line, I should NOT have to go through a poorly trained call center person.
