I purchased a Vita mix Maxi 4000 in 1990 maybe 1991. I paid a highly inflated price for the blender because it included a lifetime warranty. In 2004 I had a blade assembly replaced under the lifetime warranty. I called today to have a dome gasket and blender spout replaced and I was informed there was no such thing as a lifetime warranty. They told me they had no record of my name or phone number but at that point he commented on a 2004 notation on my account. Hmmm how do you suppose he identified my account if he did not have my Name or number in his system? I then gave him the ID number under the handle and he begrudgingly professed to look up my account again. I asked him if I only had a seven year warranty, how is it that I was able to get replacement parts in 2004 which were noted on my account. His response was, " there is a notation on my account in 2004, but my account was blank and had no record of parts replacement". Wow really? This is just wrong….
